מניסיוני כמורה נחשפתי לעוצמה של הריקוד ככלי טיפולי, כלי המספק ומחזק צדדים שונים באישיות להתמודדות בחיי היום-יום. בטחון עצמי, כושר התבטאות, עמידה בזמנים וריכוז לאורך זמן הם רק חלק מהכלים שהריקוד נותן.

Every day, your body carries the weight of your thoughts and emotions. Sometimes, it feels heavy, stuck, or tangled. That’s because feelings live in your body, not just your mind.

Movement is a way to process, understand, and even transform what you're feeling. Whether it’s a gentle stretch, a walk outside, or a spontaneous dance in your living room—moving your body helps your emotions flow instead of staying bottled up.

When you move, you:
🌱 Release tension
🌊 Let your feelings shift and settle
🎭 Gain insight into what’s really going on inside

Remember, you don’t have to do it “right.” Just move in a way that feels good for you. Your body already knows the rhythm it needs to find balance.

On chilly days when our immune system might feel a little low, I encourage both adults and children to try barefoot activities on textured surfaces.

This simple practice can help strengthen your body, improve balance, and promote overall well-being.  

Here are a few ideas:  

- Walk barefoot on grass or any natural surface.  

- Use a spiked ball or a tennis ball for gentle foot stimulation.  

- Explore rough or uneven textures underfoot to activate your senses.

✨ A good therapist has to go to therapy! If you don't treat yourself, there is no way you can treat others. If I, as a therapist, talk about the importance of going to therapy—to let things out of your system, to feel that someone is hearing you without judgment—but don't go to therapy myself, I would be lying to myself.

🧑‍🎓 When I did my master's degree here in Barcelona, the whole first year was dedicated to working on ourselves. It made me think about traveling with a child on an airplane. They tell you that you have to wear your mask first before helping your child with theirs. It's precisely this. As a therapist, no matter what kind, you take in a lot of different energies and problems, and you let out a lot of your own energy. To restore good energy and feel balanced, you need a space that gives you that. You need to feel seen and heard.

🤗 As a Movement Therapist, I am offering a space to come and let go, to connect with the therapist and the person that you are, to connect with your body, and to get your energy back in order to have the strength to keep on helping others.

☢️ Dealing with anxiety attacks can be overwhelming, but there's a simple exercise that can help you navigate through the storm.

🫢 An anxiety attack, also known as a panic attack, strikes suddenly, triggered by various stressors or fears, leaving you gripped by intense fear.

💭 Symptoms can range from rapid heartbeat and sweating to dizziness and shortness of breath.

💪 For those moments when anxiety feels like it's consuming you, try the '3-3-3 rule.'

🌟 It's a straightforward technique designed to ground you in the present moment and ease the intensity of the attack.

Here's how it works:

1️⃣ Look around and name three things you see. This simple act helps shift your focus from the overwhelming sensations of anxiety to your immediate surroundings, grounding you in the present.

2️⃣ Next, name three sounds you hear. Paying attention to the sounds around you can further anchor you in the present moment, diverting your mind from anxious thoughts.

3️⃣ Finally, move three parts of your body. Whether it's tapping your foot, rubbing your hands together, or gently touching your lips, engaging in physical movement can help release tension and provide a sense of control.

🙏 Give it a try the next time you feel an anxiety attack coming on, and notice how it affects your experience. Remember, you're not alone in this, and reaching out for support is always an option.
