Casa Batlló is a Catalan Modernist building designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí. It is located in Passeig de Gracia, 43, one of Barcelona's most iconic avenues thanks to its modernist legacy.

Gaudí was inspired by nature to create his work of art. Many shapes originate from animals. You see elements such as skulls and bones, without any straight lines. However, you can see the shape of water, many colours and even a dragon on the roof.

Do you know all your rights when travelling by plane? 🤔

People with access needs have the right to access air travel like anybody else 🙂

So, be aware of all your rights when travelling by plane in Europe 🛬

- If you don't buy your ticket online, the vendor should always, the vendor should always give you all the information about your journey in a format that is accessible to you. You must know all specific adaptations available for you on the plane.
- You have the right to free assistance at terminals and boarding vehicles. Everything is free of charge.
- You can have assistance with your luggage and get on and off the plane and during the flight
- You can have assistance in airports before and after your flight
- You can have assistance on ground handling services if you are travelling with an assistance dog

How can you get this assistance? 😀

- Contact the airline, ticket seller or tour operator at least 48 hours before your trip and explain all your needs, especially if you travel with an electric wheelchair.

When we think about barriers, we imagine physical obstacles like steps, stairs, or doorways that prevent wheelchair users from truly accessing cities.

But there are other types of barriers too:

📍 Media: information that isn't accessible in an understandable format

📍 Technology: software, electronic, or physical technologies that aren't adaptable for use with assistive devices

📍 Policies: practices, guidelines, or regulations that put much pressure in people with access needs

📍 Perception: false assumptions that people with access needs can't contribute as many other people
