🦶 ¿Has oído hablar de la Neuropatía de Baxter?
Suele producirse entre dos músculos del pie: el abductor del primer dedo y el cuadrado plantar.
A veces, también puede verse afectada una zona profunda llamada "Lower Chamber" o túnel del tarso distal 👣
En otros casos (menos frecuentes), la compresión ocurre entre el Flexor Corto de los Dedos y el hueso del talón (Calcáneo) 🦴
📌 Importante: Esta patología suele confundirse con la fascitis plantar, ¡e incluso pueden aparecer juntas!
Si tienes dolor persistente en la planta del pie y ya te hablaron de fascitis… 🤔 podrías estar ante una Neuropatía de Baxter. ¡No olvides consultar con un especialista!
🦶 Have you heard of Baxter's neuropathy?
Usually occurs between two muscles in the foot: the first toe abductor and the plantar quadratus.
Sometimes a deep area called the lower chamber or distal tarsal tunnel may also be affected 👣.
In other (less frequent) cases, compression occurs between the flexor digitorum brevis and the heel bone (calcaneus) 🦴
📌 Important: This pathology is often confused with plantar fasciitis, and can even occur together!
If you have persistent pain in the sole of your foot and you have already been told about fasciitis... 🤔 you could be suffering from Baxter's neuropathy.
