Yet another reminder that there are still people in the area doing ILLEGAL medical aesthetic treatments. PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE TEMPTED OR HAVE HAD TREATMENTS BY UNREGISTERED PRACTITIONERS...
This is what Spanish law says about Botox and dermal filler injections..
The laws around administering cosmetic injections in Spain are very strict. You need to be a qualified doctor registered with the Ministry of Health. Doctors undergo specialist training and gain specific qualifications. The clinic where the treatments are given must also be licensed as we are. Only Doctors are insured should anything go wrong.
According to Spanish law, not even nurses or beauticians are allowed to give cosmetic injections.
It must be understood that a Botox injection is a medical procedure. It involves the injection of a potent neurotoxin into neuromuscular tissue, in order to paralyse facial muscles. It is therefore vital that the practitioner is highly skilled and medically trained and LEGALLY working.
Reasons NOT to go to a “Botox/fillers party” or risk having treatment from someone here on “holiday”:
* Administering Botox & fillers in Spain by an unregistered practitioner is ILLEGAL. That person will be considered to be unqualified. They might hold a qualification in another country and be “very good”, but they are breaking the law here and are acting unethically.
*They are not covered by insurance. If something goes wrong, you have NO rights or comeback.
* They may not be around for touch ups and checking the work do, so you could be left dissatisfied.
*They are NOT working in hygiene conditions, so you are prone to infection.
*Botox has to be stored within very specific temperatures at all times, so bringing it on a plane safely is NOT possible.
At Medcare, we take your safety very seriously. Dr Hussain is fully qualified in medical aesthetics and we are of course fully registered, legal and safe.
