The physical path of the Camino, at last, will meet its end, but the inner journey carries on within us. No longer marked by the stamps on a pilgrim’s credential, this inner journey becomes quieter, more intimate - yet no less profound. It is here, in the second half of the Camino, where we process our memories and begin to give words to the lessons learnt, unfolding more layers of understanding.

This is the essential, delicate phase where the spirit of the Camino begins to weave itself into the fabric of our everyday lives. As we carry the echoes of the Camino in our hearts and footsteps, its wisdom gently guide us forward.

The post-Camino is a gradual, inner and delicate journey that happens over time upon the return home.

It involves a process of integration that is key to transform the insights and lessons of the Camino into intrinsic and fundamental elements of our being, producing a lasting change.

At daur, we are dedicated to the early phase of the integration process. How?
—> first, by offering a space devoted to grounding and introspection, supported by surrounding beautiful nature
—> secondly, by gently guiding you in activities aimed at a conscious re-connection to your walk, such as art workshops, guided journaling, expressive body movement, sharing circles or concious walking

The use of multiple expressive means is designed with care to allow different aspects to emerge, encouraging a more comprehensive and authentic exploration of self.

Hi everyone!!

We’re Ilaria & Nadia, 2 pilgrims who walked the Camino last year and decided to return to give something back after receiving so much.

Soo we’re here to share the news of the opening of daur the middle door, a casa (house) carrying a new concept: taking care of the post-Camino.

Why a place for the post-Camino
We realised about the importance of taking some time after the end of the steps and before the return home. As such, daur the middle door stands as a gateway and turning point between your Camino and the post-Camino. A place where you can slow down and reflect on your experience, while we take care of you in a safe and inclusive environment.

Where we are
Close to Fisterra, in a typical Galician village called Panchés, in between the open ocean and the beautiful mountain Monte Pindo.

Our offering
We offer accommodation in a eco-friendly casa rural, home-made and nutritious food, activities to promote the integration of the Camino (using meditation, art, body movement, writing and much more), sharing circles and option of restorative massage.

Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, is a method of conscious relaxation. It activates the parasympathetic system - the network of nerves that relaxes our body after periods of stress and danger, boosts serotonin production - the neurotransmitter of happiness, and increases oxytocin levels - the pleasure hormone, associated with calmness and ease.

As the practise progresses, the brain slows down to theta waves, associated with deep states of relaxation, memory consolidation and stress release, brining our bodies and brains into a deep restorative and restful state.

Siamo Ilaria e Nadia, due pellegrine italiane che l’anno scorso hanno percorso il Cammino di Santiago e che ora hanno deciso di tornare con l’intenzione di creare qualcosa per il Cammino stesso dopo aver ricevuto tanto.

Quindi con piacere vogliamo condividere la notizia dell'apertura di daur the middle door, una casa che si propone con un concetto nuovo: prendersi cura del post-Cammino.

Perché un luogo per il post-Cammino
Ci siamo rese conto dell'importanza di prendersi del tempo tra la fine dei passi e il ritorno a casa. Per questo motivo, daur the middle door si pone come punto di passaggio tra il Cammino e il post-Cammino. Un luogo dove poter rallentare e riflettere sulla propria esperienza in un ambiente sicuro ed inclusivo.

Situated at the feet of Monte Pindo on the one side and across the bay of Fisterra on the other side, daur the middle door is nested in the peaceful and welcoming casa rural Aldea Soma. Once an old farm, it has been recently renovated with care and respect for the environment and it offers the perfect spot to restore your body and mind after the walk.

Comfortable and silent, the house offers two triple rooms, each with a private bathroom, a shared kitchen, a garden and a beautiful meditation room overlooking the sea, where you can relax, read and enjoy.
