En 2002, la Asociación Azahar para la prevención del tabaquismo, puso en marcha las campañas para el diagnostico de la EPOC, ya es una enfermedad infra diagnosticada, (mas del 70% sin diagnostico).
Se hacían espirómetros y las alteradas se remetían con el interesado a su médico de centro de salud.
Actualmente el consenso internacional aconseja hacer como mínimo una espirómetria al paciente de EPOC cada año. ¿Se hace esto? espero que sea sí.
Fueron campañas gratuitas, no costosas cuando existe la voluntad, (3euros).
Se hacían como prevención y llamamiento a dejar de fumar.
