I NEVER PLANNED TO DO YIN 🌙
- actually quite the opposite.
I wanted to stay on YANG side of life for good 🚀❤️
Here is a little story how Yin training came to ➡️
My first Yin experience was in 2016(?) when came to Fuerteventura to co-facilitate our 10 days Yin & Rocket Training.
My idea was to stay with Rocket and never teach a Yin class - however I took the opportunity to sit down the Yin & Restorative Yoga training days too.
Jari made us DRAW ✍️ all the Myofascial Meridian lines - our stick figures became beyond hilarious 😂
I practiced the first Yin class by the front door, in the dressing room area - the studio was packed with yogis and I got the last 2 square meters for my mat.
The experience was unsettling 🔥
All the stillness made me want to run - and made my mind to race 100km / h
It was so _un-familiar for me to pause and stay for 6 minutes in the same pose.
I was zoned out after the practice, like I’d have been around the moon 🌙 and forgot how to speak…
I took the guidance to witness it ALL
Without Yin I would have never asked…
✨ Where I felt the urge to move?
✨ Did my body move before the mind - or other way around?
✨ Is the feeling heavy? Light? Neutral? Dark? Blue or Bright?
After the training the first Yin classes felt weird to teach. For years (2015-2023) I was facilitating 6-8 Ashtanga Rocket classes a week - but Thursdays were for Yin 💫
I learned to CREATE SPACE for Yin practice & facilitation, and eventually after sitting the same training again, I started to lead those Yin trainings myself (the stick figures can be found from INBODHI Yin manuals 😄)
INBODHI YIN & RESTORATIVE WEEK IS - AMAZING - much loved and recommended by its participants.
It’s the only 300h module that is OPEN FOR EVERYONE who is interested in learning more about embodied self-led practices.
For Yoga-teachers-in-training the hours are accredited by Yoga Alliance (50h)
✨💫 If this resonates with you, we still have a few spaces open for our upcoming April training. Message me if you’re curious!
