As of tomorrow, July 1st, the NRA (número de Registro de Alquiler) is mandatory for all short term rentals that are advertised on online portals such as AirBnB. The Asturian government has confirmed however that Casas Rurales and Casas de Aldea will be exempt. This means that in Asturias only Viviendas Vacacionales and Viviendas de Uso Turístico need the NRA. Have you got yours?

This super cute detached stone-built cottage is the perfect country retreat if you are looking for an escape from it all and to immerse yourself in nature. The first day I visited it with the owners we sat on the terrace and drank coffee together while stags bellowed at each other across the autumn-tinged valleys around us.
