- synnyttäjä haluaa mukaansa luotettavan ja ennalta tutun henkilön, jolla on kokemusta ja tietoa synnyttämisestä ja joka pysyy läsnä koko synnytyksen ajan
- doula tarjoaa henkistä ja fyysistä sekä informatiivista tukea sekä käytännön tietoa raskauden ja synnytyksen aikana sekä synnytyksen jälkeen
- doula tarjoaa halutessa apua ja neuvoja lääkkeettömissä kivunlievitysmenetelmissä kuten mm. hengityksen käyttö rentoutusmenetelmänä, hieronta, synnytyslaulu, akupainanta, tens, lämpötyyny ja rebozo-liina yms
- doula voi näyttää mallia ja antaa vinkkejä myös isälle/ tukihenkilölle
- doula myös äidin niin toivoessa tukee ja auttaa äitiä imetyksen alkutaipaleella
- Perhedoula toimii perheen tukena ja apuna vauva arjessa ja sen askareissa

- A doula is a professional pregnancy companion whose goal is to help families have a positive labor experience
- Doula can also,support and help the mother in the early stages of breastfeeding

I am a mother of three children, a doula, yoga teacher, and a woman who feels that being a doula is a privilege. I did my doula training in Finland in 2016 and since then I have been a birth and postpartum doula in Costa del Sol, Spain. I think that every woman deserves the right kind of support during pregnancy and childbirth and that every mother has the right to a good birth experience. As a doula, I can offer you emotional, physical and informational support during your pregnancy and during your labour. I can offer you non-medical pain-management techniques including relaxation and breathing techniques, massage, acupressure, labouring positions, mantras etc. If you wish I can support you during the whole journey from the first weeks of pregnancy until the postpartum period or I can just travel with you for a certain period of time. I support you in your decisions and I provide information on the topics that you feel that are important to you in relation to pregnancy and birth and postpartum period. As a doula I have experience e.g. hospital births (in both Malaga and Marbella hospitals both private and public sector), home birth, breastfeeding, baby wearing etc. I can support you / your spouse in Finnish, English or Spanish.
