But readiness doesn’t work like that.

thinking → reflecting → considering → deciding

Support can come in before the decision.

Sometimes the thought to stop smoking doesn’t start with you.

It starts with: a partner who worries quietly

a comment from a dentist

a doctor mentioning something “to keep an eye on”

a friend saying something gently

And then… you go away and think.

That moment of reflection matters.

You don’t have to act on it straight away.
You don’t have to promise anything.

Just noticing that thought is often the beginning.

And when that thought appears, it’s OK to explore it quietly in your own time.
