🦟 Dengue is the fastest spreading mosquito-borne viral disease worldwide, with nearly 400 million infections annually. In Europe, incidence is rising, especially in France, where autochthonous cases have sharply increased in recent years.

🔬 An independent evaluation of the VirClia® Dengue IgM assay was recently conducted at the University Hospital of Lille, with support from the French Reference Center for Arboviruses.

✅ The study, published in the Journal of Tropical Medicine, highlights the value of fully automated monotest immunoassays like VirClia® in providing fast, reliable IgM results.

The 65% of West Nile Virus cases in Italy have been reported only in one province.

📍The number of cases isn't higher in the whole country statistics, but now is focused in specific regions. This shift in geographic distribution is what has experts watching closely.

A study published by The Lancet Planetary Health highlights a sharp expansion of Aedes mosquito populations — the vector behind Dengue — from 1 region in 1 country to 358 regions in 14 European countries in just 30 years.
