🎗️April 19 is World IBS Day – Raising Awareness Together!
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) affects millions of people, yet it is still often misunderstood or downplayed. IBS is more than “just a bit of stomach trouble.” It’s a functional disorder that can significantly impact daily life, both physically and emotionally. That’s why education and reliable information are so important.
The World IBS Day is dedicated to changing prejudices related to IBS by raising visibility, breaking down stigma, and empowering those affected. Together with physicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, and other initiatives, we’re standing up on April 19 for greater understanding and better care.
The European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM) supports this mission as part of its commitment to promoting research, education, and clinical excellence in gut-brain disorders across Europe.
