Hair loss in women is often discussed in aesthetic terms. However, clinical evidence suggests its impact extends beyond appearance.
Female androgenetic alopecia has been associated with reduced quality of life and impaired sexual functioning.
In a 2024 study published in Healthcare, hair follicle–derived stem cell therapy was evaluated in women with FAGA. At 6 months, participants showed improvements in hair parameters, quality of life, and sexual functioning.
These findings highlight the broader potential of regenerative approaches to influence both clinical and psychosocial outcomes.
