Today’s a big day for BeLight Ibiza!

This evening at is the first ever “Hecho a Mano en Ibiza” market for Ibizan handmade goods.

It will also be the first market I’ve ever participated in with my pyramids, and I’m super excited to present the finalised design.

When I started this project last year, I wanted to make a truly unique and evolutionary art collection that inspires joy with captivating beauty, helps create positive energy in any space, and guides people in their personal development in life.

On top of that, I wanted them to literally light up your life while teaching you how to figuratively do the same by providing you simple keystone references for the pragmatic wisdom essential to live your best life.

This was no small feat, but I’m proud to say that I have realised this vision and I’m grateful to present them today.

Authentic expression is as necessary as the Air itself, nourishing the hearts and minds of everyone involved, inspiring and allowing for the other to express themselves in kind.

That said, it’s not always easy. Certainly not when dangerous minds are involved. (People conditioned to be destructive to themselves and others)

The Tree of Life of Expression reminds us that in such situations often involve delicately forming clarifying questions that peel back the layers of trauma reaction and allow the other to arrive at a deeper state of awareness on their own, rather than trying to present any type of solution directly.

They invite you to ask yourself:

How is my Inner Strength?
- do I easily fall into reactive states?
- am I impatient with others?
- am I quick to “agree to disagree” when faced with a perspective I don’t understand?

How is my Thoughtful Action?
- do I label others as “toxic”, “asleep”, or some other similar term?
- do I judge others by their physical characteristics or what I think is best for me?
- do I condemn the choice of others because I would have chosen differently?

How is my Spiritual Alignment?
- am I motivated more by being right than what is actually right?
- do I participate in gossip?
- do I avoid emotional confrontation?

Affirmative answers affirm conditioning.

Once upon a time, before you were born, you were an eternal being; infinite in your capacity for love, grace, understanding and curiosity.

In your endless process of self discovery you incarnated again, and upon your first breath you forgot most of who you were before.

This date was not an arbitrary choice. I’m certainly not religious, but my pyramids are about the realisation of epiphanies. Since discovering this holiday here in Europe, I’ve also really enjoyed the tradition of putting our desires for the coming year in print.

Just as Autumn arrives after Spring and Summer, Determination is possible after Awareness and Actualisation. Without the prerequisites of Compassion, Presence, Self Acceptance, Self Love, Desire and Passion, you are yet unable to fully embody the foundation Key Stone of Integrity and the daily practice of Self Mastery is logically impossible.

The Realness of Empowerment and Expression

Mom’s funeral had arrived. Nov. 1st her girlfriend woke up to her dead of a he**in overdose. My family had graciously flown me in from the other side of the country.

I turned up looking like a wild priest designed by Gaultier, black tree died on white hair. It was for a festival but I wasn’t changing it for the funeral.

Grand and Great grandparents loved it, mom would’ve too, but many were dubious at best. So much so they were hesitant to let me speak during the ceremony.

I understood their concerns: Mom defined “black sheep”; her LONG history of addiction cause for fathomless, unspoken scars for the entire family. It was easier to let the pastor drone on in rote speech about a woman he never knew than to risk further opening of ANY of the festering wounds she left.

We were loved and welcome, but our presence alone dug up a lot, not to mention that of some of her friends. Plus, I’d been a stranger since grandma’s aneurysm and made a career from partying: more salt than salve.

Mom wasn’t all bad. Everything but subtle, a beautiful force of nature; a brilliant sage on her good days, on her bad days: Holy F**k. She touched a lot of lives. The motley crew that packed the house that day testified that she didn’t care where you came from, only who you were now.

I had things I needed to say, things that needed to be heard, my brother and sister as well.

They resisted.

I invoked Mom: Either we had time on the mic or I’d become the star of the circus.

They relented, and we gave them no cause to repent.

I spoke powerfully of self love, the emotional roots of addiction, compassion and cherished memories. My brother and sister shared beautiful stories from the heart. Floodgates opened: healing tears of relief for all in attendance. Mom could finally RIP, what a relief it was.

Emotional or physical, grievous wounds need attention lest they turn gangrenous.

These are my lessons of Inner Strength, Purpose, Integrity, Thoughtful Action and Alignment. Combined and compounded.
