SOUND MIND SOUND BODY

Festival season can elevate your creativity — or quietly drain your nervous system.

Late nights. Travel. Overstimulation. Constant social energy. Irregular sleep. Pressure to always be “on.”

In electronic music culture, burnout often arrives gradually… until the body forces a stop.

And you don’t want that, trust me!

Join me in the next Sound Mind Sound Body workshop:

SUMMER IS HERE

And with it… everything speeds up.

More movement.
More social energy.
More stimulation.

According to Chinese wisdom, today, May 5th, is the beginning of summer.

In Chinese medicine, summer is the season of the Fire element —
connected to the Heart, your center of joy, connection, and presence.

When this energy is balanced, you feel:
✨ open
✨ clear
✨ connected

But when it’s too much?

You might notice:
• restless sleep
• a busy, overactive mind
• feeling wired but not truly at ease

This is what happens when the system overheats.

The goal is to regulate the fire within you.

To stay open… without burning out.
To stay connected… without losing yourself.

This is exactly what we’ll explore in the next
Sound Mind Sound Body Zoom workshop.

A space to reset your nervous system,
reconnect with your body,
and bring your energy back into balance.

If you’ve been feeling the intensity of this season,
this is your invitation 🔥

More details coming soon.

Are you feeling the pressure of the festival season rising?

What if slowing down was the path to being on top of your game?

This is where Tai Chi comes in. This Chinese martial art helps you reconnect with your body, your breath, your focus.

Foundation of Flow is a 5-week online Tai Chi program
created for DJs, producers and electronic music professionals
who want to feel more grounded, calm and clear.

Each session is practical and intimate,
so you get real guidance and space to learn at your own pace.

We’ll move, breathe, and build something simple but powerful:
- a body that feels stable
- a mind that can slow down when needed
- energy that flows instead of crashes

🗓 Wednesdays, 7PM (CET)
May 6th → June 3rd
On Zoom

If you’ve been feeling a bit disconnected from yourself lately,

Success in electronic music has been defined by how much you can take.

Pressure. Visibility. Pace. Expectations.

But what if success was defined by how long you can stay aligned?

On April 14th, Sound Mind Sound Body returns with Saskhia Menendez.

We’re opening a conversation that goes beyond surface-level wellbeing:

— The emotional reality behind being visible
— The impact of unsafe or high-pressure environments
— Why burnout has become normalized
— What sustainable success actually looks like

“The elephant is out from under the rug.”

We’re not whispering about mental health in electronic music anymore.

We’re talking about it.
Artists are talking about it.
The conversation is on the table.

And that makes it safer to say:
“This tour is too hard right now.”
“I need to cancel this gig.”
“I’m choosing my sanity.”

This is what real cultural change looks like.

Most behaviour change advice is built for calm lives.

We don’t live calm lives.

We live:
• Tour cycles
• Release pressure
• Travel
• Late nights
• Emotional highs
• Sudden crashes

So why are we trying to build habits designed for office schedules?

On March 10th, I’m joined by Tom Colville for the next Sound Mind Sound Body session:

Behaviour Change That Works in Chaos

We’ll break down:
– Why discipline collapses under intensity
– How to build adaptive systems
– Nervous system-led behaviour change
– Creative longevity over quick optimisation

If you work in electronic music and want consistency that survives real life — this is for you.

This industry doesn’t need more burnout recovery stories.
It needs sustainable leaders.

Chinese New Year is shifting gears.
On February 17, we enter the Year of the Fire Horse.

In Chinese cosmology, the Horse carries movement, freedom, and momentum.
Fire adds intensity, visibility, and spirit.

Together, this year brings strong Yang energy:
forward motion, bold impulses, a desire to act, to create, to move.

For many creatives and music professionals, this can feel familiar:
more ideas, more invitations, more speed.
Exciting — and potentially destabilising if there’s no anchor.

This year doesn’t ask us to push harder.
It asks us to direct our energy wisely.

From a health and wellbeing perspective, Fire Horse is an invitation to:
– protect your nervous system
– stay connected to your inner rhythm
– choose momentum without burnout

Flow won’t come from constant acceleration.
It will come from aligned movement.

As we approach this new cycle, I’ll be sharing reflections and practices to help you meet this energy with clarity, grounding, and intention — especially if you live in fast, high-pressure creative worlds.

What are you feeling as this new year approaches: excitement, restlessness, resistance… or curiosity?
I’d love to hear.
