In Traditional Chinese Medicine, pain is often caused by a stagnation or blockage of energy (Qi) in a meridian.

One of the most common causes of this blockage is a scar.

A scar — whether physical or emotional — can interrupt the natural flow of energy in the body. When energy cannot flow freely, it may lead to pain, numbness, itching, weakness, or other health problems.

This is why in acupuncture and Advanced Photonic Therapy, it is highly recommended to treat all scars, especially when they:
