Posture isn’t just about sitting up straight, it’s about how you hold your body throughout the day.

Some of the most common mistakes I see:

These habits place constant strain on your neck, shoulders and back, often leading to tightness, discomfort and reduced movement over time.

Taking a couple of days off

The clinic will be closed for a couple of days while I take some time to spend with family.

I’ll be back in the clinic Wednesday 25th and ready to help with all those tight shoulders, aching backs and areas of tension.

Never had a massage before and not sure what to expect?

Your first massage appointment is designed to help you feel comfortable and supported from the moment you arrive.

Welcome
When you arrive you’ll be welcomed into the clinic and given time to settle in.

Consultation
We’ll spend a few minutes talking about how your body is feeling. This is your chance to explain any areas of pain, tension, injuries or health conditions so the treatment can be tailored to you.

Treatment explained
Before we begin, I’ll explain how the treatment will work and answer any questions you may have.

Preparing for the massage
You’ll then be left in the room to prepare yourself for the massage in privacy. Once you’re ready, I’ll knock on the door before coming back into the room.

During the massage
Throughout the treatment I’ll check that the pressure feels comfortable for you.

After the massage
Once the treatment finishes, you’ll be given time to relax on the bed and get up when you feel ready. It’s recommended to drink some water afterwards to help reawaken your body.

When you’re ready, you can join me in reception before heading off feeling a little more relaxed.

Instead of general online courses, I’m now offering 1:1 Self-Massage Coaching designed around you.

These sessions are tailored to the tension, discomfort or problem areas you’re dealing with, so you learn techniques that work for your body.

During the session we’ll create a simple routine you can use at home to help manage tightness, reduce pain and support your body whenever it needs it.

Each session includes:
• 1 hour 1:1 coaching
• Personalised self-massage techniques
• A time that suits you
• Available online or in person

Self-care Sunday.

After a busy week, taking time to look after your body matters.

Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be simple things that help your body reset and recover from the week.

A few ideas for today:
• Gentle stretching
• A short walk
• Self-massage for tight areas
• Drinking plenty of water
• Taking time to properly rest

These small habits help release tension, support recovery and prepare your body for the week ahead.

A little about the person behind The-Massage-Therapist.

My name is Nikki.

I’m originally from Manchester, England, and moved to Benalmádena around five years ago.

I’ve been qualified in massage for over 16 years, and it’s a career that started because of my own experience with pain.

I used to receive deep tissue massages regularly to help with ongoing shoulder pain. Experiencing how much difference those treatments made to my body is what led me to train and become a massage therapist myself.

Now I get to do that for others.

What I love most about my job is being able to help people relax, release built-up tension, move more freely and in many cases become pain free.

Helping people feel better in their body is what makes this work so rewarding.

Four months ago I opened my massage clinic.

Although I’ve been running my massage business in Benalmádena for over four years, opening a clinic space was a big step.

It meant taking a risk, committing to a place of my own and trusting that the next stage of the business was the right move.

Now, four months later, I can honestly say it’s been a dream come true.

Having a dedicated space to welcome clients, help people with pain, tension and recovery, and continue growing the business means a lot to me.

And none of it would be possible without the people who support it.
