Some seasons of motherhood feel impossibly heavy, especially when you’re holding space for everyone but yourself. If you recognize these feelings, please know you’re not alone. Reaching out for support was the first step in my own healing, and it can be yours too. There is no shame in asking for help, your well-being matters. 💛

How are you really feeling today? Let’s start the conversation below. ⬇️

You’re not ‘bad at keeping it together’ — your brain is simply running on overdrive.

As a new mom with a neurodivergent brain, every tiny choice — feeding schedule, baby outfits, even replying to a text — takes mental energy.

That’s decision fatigue, and it’s not about weakness. It’s about recognizing that your executive function is already doing triple duty:

👶 Caring for baby
🏡 Managing the home
🧠 Processing the ND way
✨ Give yourself permission to simplify:
– Repeat meal rotations
– Keep go-to baby outfits handy
– Anchor easy routines
– Use visual lists as a brain helper

Your energy is precious — save it for what matters most: you and your little one. 💛"

To every neurodiverse mum: your journey may look different, but your strength is unmistakable. In the small wins, the daily courage, and the love you give without measure — resilience lives here, in you.

Look for the glimmers. ✨

Glimmers are the opposite of triggers — tiny moments your nervous system recognises as safe, calming, or joyful.

For me, they’ve shown up quietly… sunlight through the trees, a favourite song playing softly through my headphones, the smell of a scented candle, the gentle warm breeze in a hot summers day, the cozyness of my favourite socks.

For neurodiverse mums, especially during pregnancy and postpartum, glimmers can be powerful anchors. They gently shift attention away from sensory overwhelm and toward what feels good, helping regulation in a kind, sustainable way.

The best part? Glimmers are all around us — and they don’t need to be big events. With a pause, a breath, and a scan of your senses, you can find them in the everyday.

💛 What glimmer have you noticed today? Share it here — your moment of joy might just become someone else’s glimmer too.

Seven years ago, in those first weeks as a new mum to my youngest, I learned that small choices could make a world of difference.

This week, as we celebrate his birthday, I’ve been revisiting that postpartum time — what helped it feel gentle, grounded, and even treasured.

Swipe through to see the choices that shaped our start:

1. I kept a list of trusted providers — lactation consultants, therapists, my doula — ready if I needed them.
2. We limited visits and stayed in a gentle postpartum bubble.
3. Cherished contact naps and the comfort of bed‑sharing.
4. Trusted my intuition and had regular check‑ins with my husband about my mental and emotional state.
5. Our peaceful surroundings met my sensory needs.
6. Added ND‑friendly touches: sensory‑friendly lighting, gentle sounds, reassuring daily rhythms, and visual reminders for self‑care.
7. Asked for extra help at home and batch‑cooked meals to carry us through the first month.

Every postpartum journey is different — there’s no single “right” way.

I’d love to know… What choices made your postpartum feel gentle and supported? 💛

Spotless dishes and a pristine home don’t define you as a super mom.
What truly makes you incredible in your baby’s eyes is your connection, your responsiveness, and your love — even while juggling ADHD, sleepless nights, and the whirlwind of motherhood.

You’re not falling short.
You’re doing the most important work there is — and you’re doing it beautifully. 💛

Ever felt like even small comments hit extra hard during pregnancy or after baby arrives? You’re not alone. 💬💔

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is a real experience, especially common in neurodiverse people—including those with ADHD or autism. It’s not “just being sensitive.” It’s your brain and body responding to big changes and emotions.

During pregnancy and postpartum, these feelings can be even more intense.
Swipe through to learn what RSD is, how it can show up for neurodiverse parents, and how you (and your loved ones) can support each other with empathy and understanding. 💛

Let’s make space for real feelings and real support.

Ever find yourself standing in front of the fridge, remote in hand, completely forgetting what you were looking for? You’re not alone—the struggle is real, especially when life feels a bit chaotic.

When these moments happen, try this gentle grounding technique:
Pause, take a slow breath in, and notice five things you can see around you (even if it’s just the laundry pile and a half-eaten biscuit). Sometimes, a little mindfulness in the mess is all we need to reset.

You’re doing better than you think. 💛
