The reasons
The most common infectious cystitis is caused by pathogenic bacteria or opportunistic microorganisms that constantly live in the human body. However, for the occurrence of inflammation in the bladder, it is not enough just for the pathogen to enter the body, its defenses must also be weakened, and immunity reduced.
The following factors contribute to the latter:
chronic infectious inflammation in the body, for example, caries, diseases of the intestines, reproductive organs, complications of SARS;
malnutrition with insufficient amounts of vitamins, an abundance of spicy and fatty foods in the diet;
frequent overwork and lack of sleep;
stress;
immunodeficiency states, including those caused by taking certain medications;
general or local hypothermia;
active s*x life with frequent change of partners;
physical inactivity, sedentary work, varicose veins, accompanied by stagnation of blood circulation in the pelvic organs;
violation of the outflow of urine due to strictures of the urethra, stones or neoplasms in the organs of the urinary system;
the habit of long-term urge to urinate;
ignoring or improperly performing hygiene procedures, due to which E. coli can pe*****te into the urinary organs;
compression of organs with tight clothing, wearing synthetic underwear;
congenital anomalies, injuries, surgical interventions on the pelvic organs;
diseases of the endocrine system, including diabetes mellitus;
excess weight;
damage to the central nervous system - damage to the spine, acute circulatory disorders or the growth of a neoplasm in the brain;
prolonged catheterization of the bladder.
In women, the development of cystitis is favored by chronic vaginitis, inflammatory processes of the pelvic organs in the event of s*xually transmitted infectious diseases, pregnancy, cyclic fluctuations in hormonal levels, menopause.
The occurrence of inflammation of the bladder in the body of a man is more often associated with an existing lesion of the urethra, as well as inflammation or prostate adenoma, which compresses the urethra.
The cause of non-infectious cystitis can be medication, radiation exposure to the body, the action of toxins and certain chemicals, an allergic or autoimmune reaction, damage to an organ during surgery or after an injury.
