The Biomedical Informatics Group (GIB) was formally established in 1993. Built from scratch, the group is now a top Spanish group, in terms of top-ranked scientific publications, international collaborations and projects in the area of biomedical informatics. It is a reference in many research, educational and innovative European activities in the field. The GIB has more than thirty researchers and a large number of collaborators. GIB has participated in various research projects and networks, both national and international, particularly funded by the European Commission. European Projects:
BIOINFOMED, INFOGENMED; INFOBIOMED, ACGT, Action-Grid (coordinator), DICODE, P-Medicine, Integrate, EURECA, INBIOMEDVision and AFRICA BUILD (coordinator).
