We’re excited to share that our 1:20 scale model of La Nave is part of the exhibition “Habitar España: Medio siglo de vivienda”, curated by Fernanda Canales at La Casa de la Arquitectura in Madrid.

The exhibition features a curated selection of housing projects built in Spain between 1975 and 2025, offering a powerful reflection on five decades of residential architecture.

“Habitar España” will be open to the public until November 30, 2025.

It’s an honor to see La Nave included in this significant national overview.

MOSSO. Chêne-Bourg
Artisanal building, 2024.

Mosso’s interior is a tribute to raw, authentic materials. Polished concrete floors, silico-limestone bricks, exposed wood, galvanized steel panels, visible Schichtex insulating panels, and CEB (Compressed Earth Blocks) walls come together to create an architectural language that honors the site’s artisanal heritage. A hybrid wood-concrete load-bearing structure, featuring large laminated ash beams punctuated with openings, allows for the seamless integration of utilities while minimizing structural impact on the floors. This thoughtful design choice maximizes usable space, granting users the freedom to adapt the interiors to their needs.

Reclaimed elements—such as reused lighting fixtures and glass partitions—further enhance the project’s sustainable approach. Generous glazed facades flood the interiors with natural light, shaping a warm and versatile workspace that embraces both function and craftsmanship.

MOSSO. Chêne-Bourg
Artisanal building, 2024.

Mosso is designed with practicality and accessibility in mind. The main entrance, discreet yet inviting, leads to a concrete staircase where a striking red handrail serves as both a functional guide and a bold visual statement. More than just a safety feature, this vibrant detail adds character and contrast to the otherwise understated space.

MOSSO. Chêne-Bourg
Artisanal building.2024

In the heart of the emerging district around the Léman Express station in Chêne-Bourg, Mosso stands on the family-owned plot that once housed the client’s grandfather’s printing press. This 6-story building is more than just a structure—it is a tool designed to host hybrid and artisanal activities, adapting to the evolving needs of its occupants. With a vision of sustainability and low-tech efficiency, Mosso seamlessly integrates into a rapidly transforming urban fabric.

Its façades are largely glazed, allowing natural light to flood the workspaces. Composed of glass and fiber cement panels, they are assembled with visible mechanisms, reminiscent of a Meccano set, ensuring easy replacement if needed while showcasing the beauty of their construction. The staggered arrangement and slight inclination of the panels reveal the finesse of the façade’s composition, echoing a house of cards—a tribute to the site’s history, deeply connected to paper. This angled assembly not only gives the façade a dynamic quality but also creates space for blinds, eliminating the need for bulky casings. Additionally, the tilted orientation enhances the efficiency of the photovoltaic panels that replace the fiber cement panels on the upper three floors, reinforcing the building’s commitment to energy performance.
