✨ Social Club Meet-up for Neurodivergent Teens ✨
This Sunday 12th of April from 4pm to 6pm in parque Tres Jardines in San Pedro de Alcántara 🌿

These meet-ups offer a relaxed and supportive space for teens who may find social situations a bit challenging, or who simply prefer quieter, more understanding environments. It’s a chance to spend time together, connect at their own pace, and just be themselves — with no pressure or expectations.

Parents are also very welcome to stay, chat and connect.

The format is simple: a calm afternoon in the park, a few optional games, and plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable.

If you and your teen would like to join us, just send me a message — and feel free to share with anyone who might benefit :)

What a school day can feel like for an AuDHD student.

Sometimes behaviours that look like uncooperative or challenging are actually signs of overwhelm, anxiety, or a nervous system under pressure.

By reframing difficult behaviours, moving from: “This student just won't ... ” to “This student just can't... yet”, we can start having a positive impact on their ability to regulate, and ultimately their capacity to learn.

Huge thank you to Akademeia High School in Warsaw for inviting me to lead a Neurodivergent Teacher Training and for prioritising inclusive education!

29 February – Parent Webinar: Understanding and Supporting Neurodivergent Teens
1 March – Teacher Training: Neurodivergence in the Classroom

It’s always inspiring to collaborate with schools that actively invest in deepening their understanding and refining practical strategies to support neurodivergent students.

At Akademeia High School, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible commitment of its teachers and Learning Support department, not only to deliver inclusive education but also to continuously adapt their practices to meet the needs of every student. True dedication in action!

One in six autistic children in the UK has not been in school at all since September.

This isn’t about truancy or lack of effort. It’s about anxiety, burnout, sensory overload, and a system struggling to support neurodivergent learners.

This article from The Guardian raises urgent questions about mental health and inclusivity in schools.

Mattel’s new autistic Barbie is sparking conversations... some see it as progress for awareness and inclusion, others worry it may reduce the autism spectrum to a familiar stereotype.

It still is a strong message to young girls that it’s okay to be autistic, okay to be different, and okay to be who they are. It is another way to make autism in girls visible.
