✨Our Neurodivergent Club 2nd meet-up will take place this Saturday 14th of March at 3pm in Tres Jardines Park in San Pedro de Alcántara (weather permitting ).

This club is open to Neurodivergent teens (ADHD, autism, etc.) and their families offering a relaxed space where young people can spend time together in a low-pressure, calm and understanding environment. And parents can also connect and enjoy a chat.

It will be a gentle 2-hour meet-up in the park, with some simple games and activities, with no pressure to participate.

If you think your teen might enjoy it, or if you know a family who might benefit, feel free to DM me or share this invitation around.

Huge thank you to Akademeia High School in Warsaw for inviting me to lead a Neurodivergent Teacher Training and for prioritising inclusive education!

29 February – Parent Webinar: Understanding and Supporting Neurodivergent Teens
1 March – Teacher Training: Neurodivergence in the Classroom

It’s always inspiring to collaborate with schools that actively invest in deepening their understanding and refining practical strategies to support neurodivergent students.

At Akademeia High School, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible commitment of its teachers and Learning Support department, not only to deliver inclusive education but also to continuously adapt their practices to meet the needs of every student. True dedication in action!

One in six autistic children in the UK has not been in school at all since September.

This isn’t about truancy or lack of effort. It’s about anxiety, burnout, sensory overload, and a system struggling to support neurodivergent learners.

This article from The Guardian raises urgent questions about mental health and inclusivity in schools.

Mattel’s new autistic Barbie is sparking conversations... some see it as progress for awareness and inclusion, others worry it may reduce the autism spectrum to a familiar stereotype.

It still is a strong message to young girls that it’s okay to be autistic, okay to be different, and okay to be who they are. It is another way to make autism in girls visible.

Nnena Kalu who is autistic and has limited verbal communication, has become the first artist with a learning disability to win the prestigious Turner Prize.

Her win marks an important moment for inclusivity and representation in contemporary art. 💙

💙 Social activities for young autistic people 💙

I’m looking to start a social group for autistic Level 1 / Asperger-profile teens and young people on the Costa del Sol. The aim is to offer those who find socialising or building friendships challenging the possibility to meet others, develop social confidence and connect safely through different interest-based activities.

I’m posting here to see how many families might be interested before organising the first meet-up.

If this sounds like something your young person would enjoy or benefit from, please comment below or send me a message (indicating the age of your child).
