🔹️¿Sientes un "n**o" constante en la parte media de la espalda? 😫

Ese dolor entre los omóplatos se llama Dorsalgia y es una de las consultas más comunes en fisioterapia.

No es solo "tensión por el estrés".

🔍 ¿Por qué aparece?
Las causas más frecuentes son:
Posturas mantenidas: Horas frente al ordenador o mirando el móvil.
Estrés emocional: La tensión se acumula directamente en los músculos trapecio y romboides.
Falta de movilidad: Una columna torácica rígida obliga a otras zonas a trabajar de más.

⚡ ¿Cómo se siente?
Dolor punzante entre las escápulas.
Sensación de peso o "carga" en la espalda alta.
Dificultad para respirar profundo (sensación de opresión).
Dolor que se mueve hacia el cuello o los hombros.

🛠️ ¿Cómo lo solucionamos? (El poder del movimiento)
Movilidad Torácica: Ejercicios de rotación y extensión para "desbloquear" las vértebras.
Fortalecimiento: Trabajar los músculos que estabilizan tu postura (serratos, romboides y core).
Terapia Manual: Para liberar la musculatura y mejorar la circulación en la zona.
Higiene Postural Dinámica: Aprender a moverte mejor.

🇪🇸 Las cicatrices son muy importantes para la osteopatía ya que muchas de ellas se adhieren a planos más profundos alterando el normal movimiento y deslizamiento de las diferentes capas que tiene nuestro cuerpo.
De esta forma, a veces, nos encontramos con pacientes que acuden a consulta por un dolor específico en determinada zona corporal, y la causa de este dolor es una restricción de tejidos (músculos, vísceras o fascias) causado por una cicatriz en otra región del cuerpo sin importar cuanto tiempo haya transcurrido desde el origen de esa cicatriz.
El tratamiento de la cicatriz, en estos casos, es la clave para la resolución del problema 👍🏻

🇬🇧 Scars are very important in osteopathy, as many of them adhere to deeper layers, altering the normal movement and sliding of the different layers of our body.
Thus, we sometimes encounter patients who come to the clinic for specific pain in a certain area of the body, and the cause of this pain is a restriction of tissues (muscles, viscera, or fascia) caused by a scar in another region of the body, regardless of how much time has passed since the origin of that scar.
In these cases, treating the scar is the key to solve the problem 👍🏻

🔹️Somatic Experiencing is an approach that reminds us that healing doesn’t only happen through words — it happens through the body.

Our nervous system holds our experiences, memories, stress, our survival responses… and it also holds the capacity to regulate and heal.

As a psychologist I recently started training in Somatic Experiencing, and I feel super inspired learning to listen not just to the mind, but to the body’s wisdom.

Being part of the multidisciplinary team at Health First Studio allows me to integrate this mind–body approach and support people in a more connected and compassionate way.

Healing is not about “fixing” — it’s about gently reconnecting. ✨

🔹️Hi there!

Im Alex, one of the physiotherapists at HFS and so very proud to be part of this incredible team of professionals and great people!

I graduated as a physio in 2005, in Madrid.
Since then, I've studied in different universities qualifying in Lymphatic Drainage, Sports physio, Osteopathy, Myofascial Induction, and recently clinical PNI (Psycho Neuro Inmunology.

During these years I've treated from any orthopedic, sports injury, working with elite tennis players, to oncological patients, chronic or acute and psychosomatic pain.

During this time, it's been an absolute pleasure to collaborate with different doctors, personal trainers, psychologists, podiatrists and physios.
Its within the team work we are able to complete each other, and truly help any process of recovery, help our patients.

To all my patients, past, present and future: thanks for trusting my work, I always aim to do my best, as a professional and as a person.

**What Rainy Winter Days Do to the Nervous System**

Rainy, cloudy winter weeks can subtly affect how we feel — in both body & mind.
Research shows that people who get more daytime natural light tend to have better mood, better sleep, and fewer symptoms of depression and fatigue. Natural light helps regulate our circadian rhythm— the body’s internal clock that influences sleep, energy levels, hormones, and emotional balance.

Even when the sun isn’t visible, outdoor light is still much stronger than indoor lighting and sends important signals to the brain and nervous system. Just 20–30 minutes outside, especially earlier in the day, can support sleep quality, mood regulation, and overall nervous system health.

Remenber that small daily habits — like a short walk, gentle movement, or a coffee outdoors — can make a meaningful difference during winter. 🌤️
