Happy Love & Friendship Day… because really, every day should be one (not just 14 February)💃

They say love is the ultimate healer... and as a holistic therapist, I can’t argue with that. Love calms the nervous system, softens the breath, improves digestion (yes, even that), and reminds us we’re not doing life alone.

So today you’re receiving a generous hug of appreciation from me…

Instead of my usual reminders about chewing your food 30 times, drinking warm water, or checking whether those spices at the back of the cupboard are older than your last holiday. 😉

Spread a little love today & everyday... in your kitchen, in your conversations, in the way you speak to yourself.

Happy New Year! I’ve been thinking about why we do this to ourselves with New Year’s resolutions every year.
We promise ourselves a completely different life, and then we feel like we’ve flopped by February.

​It’s not because we aren’t capable. It’s because we build our plans on a version of ourselves that only exists on those "perfect" days. The inspired version. The high-energy version. The one who feels like they’ve got it all figured out.

​That version shows up sometimes, and it’s wonderful. But it’s not who decides our year. Our year is decided on the ordinary days. The busy days. The days where we’re just... human.

So this year, I’m not asking "What do I want to change?" I’m asking "What can I actually do?"... even when life gets in the way.

Not a big goal or a dramatic promise, just a few 5-minute rituals we can show up for every day. Because if we can stick to those small steps for 28 days, the effort disappears and the habit takes over. It stops being something we 'do' and starts being how we live.

​Things like:

​The Spice Shift: Tossing warming spices into our soups and stews.

​The Morning Sanctuary: Thirty minutes of quiet before we let the phone in.

​The Brain Dump: Getting the noise out of our heads and onto paper.

​The Sunset Rule: Finishing dinner a few hours before bed to give ourselves a real rest.

​These aren’t "resolutions." They’re just small ways to stay connected to ourselves when life is moving fast. Because if we can keep a promise to ourselves on the quiet days, the inspired days will take care of themselves. Small steps add up...

​So if we take anything into this year, let's take this... stop planning for who you wish you were and start building for who you already are.

I’m stepping through and not looking back... well, maybe just enough to smile at the fun, the chaos, and those “interesting character-building moments”.

No “New Year, New Me” nonsense.
Same me.
Just travelling lighter, laughing louder, choosing better.

To my friends… thank you for the memories, the mischief, the wisdom, and for making life far more entertaining than any plan ever could.

Just a friendly reminder that we don't need any extra baggage in 2026.

​The Grinch really is onto something here... nobody wants to be mid-countdown only to realize they’re still carrying around 2025’s… lingering residue.

Think of it as the ultimate end-of-year system reset!

​Better to handle things before midnight so we can all head into the New Year feeling light, empty, and significantly less full of it.

It’s the best way to release what no longer serves us and make 2026 our most 'regular' year yet.

​Wishing you all an amazing, high-vibe, and totally flush-tastic New Year! 🚽✨

What a Christmas… I had hoped to travel to Argentina to be with my son, but this year had other ideas.

With no plans in place, I was so touched to be invited to spend Christmas with close friends who feel very much like family.

Here’s a little glimpse of the 25th at the Bourquín’s... a home full of warmth and lovely details. From the tree, to the table, to the cosy lounge with tea and treats… it felt like one big warm hug.

The whole family are such a lovely, kind bunch. And for me, that’s what Christmas is about... sharing time, laughter and simple moments together.

This time of year can bring up all sorts of feelings. Being in Spain, with my brothers and their families in the UK, and remembering my mum and the way she made Christmas special, makes me understand how tender this season can be. Whether it’s distance, memories, or missing people who aren’t here, many of us feel it in one way or another.

Some years don’t turn out how we planned, and we don’t always get what we want… but they can still teach us something... nudging us towards what really matters and reminding us to be kind to ourselves and each other. ✨

Huge thank you to the Bourquín’s for making this Christmas so special. 💛
