16/01/2026
2016 was the gateway, the year everything began to shift.
Looking back now, I can see how life has been quietly, almost magically, guiding me to this very moment all along.
That year, while skiing in the mountains, my wifey asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks:
If you could do one thing just for yourself, not for your family, and money wasn’t an issue, what would it be?
Without hesitation, I replied, “I’d do a yoga 🤸teacher training.”
My husband still jokes that I went to that training and never came back the same person and he’s right.
During that 200-hour training, I had my first real awareness that alcohol was holding me back. Something clicked. A quiet knowing I couldn’t ignore.
It took 8 years to change.
2016 was also the year I overcame my fear of public speaking. I was invited to speak on a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego, in front of hundreds of Lara Croft fans and members of the press, sharing about the 20-year legacy of Lara Croft and my role in bringing that iconic character to life.
It was the year I swapped coffee for matcha 🍵 and have never looked back!
The year I created my very first vision board and then had an experience that showed me just how powerful intention truly is.
2016 was the year we would wake up and hike then dance at the top 💃🏻 like it was the most natural, uplifting thing to do!
So thank you, Instagram, for the reminder today:
Everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to.
And I am right on time ✨
