Tung’s FuKe (婦科) refers to a specialized group of acupuncture points within Master Tung’s system that focus on gynecological conditions. Think of it as the body’s reset button. Acupuncture needles are tiny—like really tiny. In fact, they’re often just a bit thicker than a human hair. To put it in perspective, a single strand of hair is about 0.06 to 0.1 mm thick, while most acupuncture needles range from 0.12 to 0.35 mm. So we’re talking barely-there, whisper-thin little tools.

Now compare that to your average hospital needle—the kind used to draw blood or give shots—which can be anywhere from 0.8 mm to over 1 mm thick. That’s a hefty difference. It’s like comparing a sewing needle to a strand of silk.

And it makes sense: acupuncture needles don’t need to carry medicine or draw blood. Their job is more like sending little signals to your body—stimulating specific points to help with pain, stress, gynaecology problems, insomnia, autoimmune conditions, digestion, you name it - acupuncture treats it! Because of that, they can be super thin, flexible, and much gentler on the body.

That’s why most people barely feel them going in. Some don’t feel anything at all - unless you are carrying inflammation, and then there might be a moment of discomfort. Others might feel a tiny pinch, a tingle, or a bit of warmth—but definitely NOT the ouch-factor of a hospital needle.

So if you’ve been nervous about trying acupuncture - as part of our fully integrative treatment, where you will also receive many other therapies - relax. Acupuncture needles are more like hair-thin whispers to your energy system than nasty pokes!

Remember - at its core, acupuncture doesn’t “fix” things - it encourages your body to fix itself. It gets everything moving in harmony and balance again. It deals with blockages, excess, deficiencies and much, much more!

It’s self-care meets ancient science.

So even if the needles still sound a little mystical, the benefits endless, and infinite - and don’t forget, they form only part of your fully integrated session.
