Today I want to share the lovely memory of my first yoga experience, where everything started without knowing it ✨
I will never forget my first class, at the time I knew nothing about yoga, but I was willing to try new things. With my friend, we decided to try and join a solidarity event organized by the Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque in Paris.
During this event, they reunited more than 2000 persons to collect money to allow children to have access to cardiac health care.
This was a big jump in the yoga world.
I won't lie, it felt like discovering a strange world with strange people 😂
I remember while practicing for the first time the breath technique and singing mantras, with my friend, we couldn’t even look at each other by fear to read the same thoughts on each other eyes:
"Where are we?, What are we doing here?" And repeating to myself "Don't laugh, don't laugh don't laugh... "😅
But at some point I could pass over this first reaction and let myself flow with the beautiful group energy. It was amazing to see so many people focusing on their practice, focusing on themselves and connecting at the same time to each other.
I remember how good I could feel after the class: totally relax and connected to myself. I didn't know that in Sanskrit yoga means union, the union between your soul, your mind and your body but I could feel it.
Today, looking back at this video I realise how lucky I was to be part of it. A big thanks to .chirurgie.cardiaque to make it happen♥
I am really interested to know how was your first experience with yoga. What did you expect? What did it bring you?
Thank you for sharing, Namaste ✨🙏
