Why "just going for a walk" or "hitting the gym" feels like a threat to your nervous system.

If you live with a sensitive system, AuADHD or hEDS (Hypermobility), your relationship with movement is… complicated.

Traditional fitness is built for neurotypical, "stable" bodies. For us, a standard yoga class or a loud gym can feel like:
- Sensory Overload: The lights, the music, the people, the "pushy" energy.
- Proprioceptive Confusion: Not knowing where your joints are in space, leading to "clumsiness" or injury.
- Well-meaning tips dont land: Because how the heck do I engage the "core" and why does my neck hurt after doing yoga.
- The Post-Class Crash: Leaving a session feeling more wired, shaky, or exhausted than when you started, sometimes even feel pain but the next day so we dont connect the dots.

When movement feels like a "performance" or a sensory nightmare, your brain does exactly what it’s supposed to do: it protects you by choosing passivity. But there is a middle ground between "nothing" and "overwhelmed."

In my practice, Move in Serenity, we don't "exercise." We regulate.
I combine the ancient, circular flow of Qigong with trauma-informed Yoga specifically adapted for hypermobile bodies.

No rigid cues. No "pushing through." Just building a body-map that finally feels safe to inhabit. Building strength through softness.

Moon Salutation - Yoga Sequence
One of my favourite practices and I personally prefer it to the more well known Sun Salutes. It is practiced much slower than you see in the video. The sequence invites slow, intentional movement, to pay attention to your sensations and practice with precision. It feels like a practice where the ego is tamed not fired up like in many sun salutes.

What is the pose you keep coming back to?

For me it’s any form of anjaneyasana / lunge poses. Sometimes with sometimes without backbend. When I have a block and don’t know where to start in my practice I start with this hatha sun salute variation.

It meets you where you’re at.
A great foundation for other asanas.
A great stand alone practice.

Bist du auf der Suche nach tieferer Verbindung und einer unterstützenden Gemeinschaft? Komm zu unserem Frauenkreis: „Movement & Connection“.

Wolltest du schon immer Yoga oder Qigong ausprobieren, hast aber den ersten Schritt bisher nicht gewagt? Oder hast du bereits Erfahrung, sehnst dich aber nach echtem Austausch? Dieser Kreis ist für dich. Kein überspiritueller Rahmen – nur ehrliche Gespräche, gute Energie und eine gesundheitsfördernde Bewegungspraxis, die dich wieder mit dir selbst und anderen verbindet.
