Having trouble with anxiety?

Ahoo family🪶

I want to start by acknowledging something we’ve all felt at one point or another: anxiety. It’s a word that carries different meanings for each of us, but at its core, anxiety is a response to uncertainty, fear of the unknown, and sometimes, the overwhelming pressures of life. It's a natural, human emotion. Yet, when anxiety becomes constant, it can rob us of our peace and make even the simplest tasks feel insurmountable.

We live in a world that demands so much from us—our time, our energy, our focus. With social media, constant notifications, and high expectations, it's easy to feel like we're not enough, like we’re falling behind. Anxiety sneaks in, and suddenly, we’re stuck in a loop of "what ifs"—what if I fail, what if I’m judged, what if I’m not capable? These are the thoughts that try to hold us back.

But here’s something we all need to remember: anxiety is not the enemy. It’s a signal. It tells us something important—that we care, that we’re invested, that we want to do well. It means we're human. The key is learning how to respond to that signal, how to quiet the storm inside when it feels too strong.

So, how do we begin to take control?

1. Breathe: Anxiety often disconnects us from the present moment. When you feel overwhelmed, take a step back. Inhale slowly and deeply, then exhale. This simple act brings us back to now—the only moment we can truly control.

2. Challenge Your Thoughts: Anxiety thrives on worst-case scenarios. Instead of letting your mind spiral, ask yourself, "Is this thought true? Am I catastrophizing?" Often, our anxious thoughts are just that—thoughts, not facts.

3. Focus on What You Can Control: It’s easy to feel paralyzed by the uncertainty of the future. But instead of worrying about what might happen, focus on what you can do in the present moment. Break tasks into small, manageable steps and celebrate small victories along the way.

4. Reach Out: Anxiety isolates us, making us feel like we’re facing our fears alone. But you don’t have to.
We can fight this fight together

🔥 Tu verdadero valor se vio cuando,
Aún con el corazón roto,
No buscaste venganza
Ni lastimaste a nadie.
Solo te quedaste ahí,
Tratando de entender y sanar.🔥

It was not witches who burned.
It was women.
Women who were seen as;
Too beautiful,
Too outspoken,
Had too much water in the well (yes, seriously),
Who had a birthmark,
Women who were too skilled with herbal medicine,
Too loud,
Too quiet,
Too much red in their hair,
Women who had a strong nature connection,
Women who danced,
Women who sang,
or anything else, really.
Any woman was at risk of burning in the 1600’s. Sisters testified and turned on each other when their babies were held under ice.
Children were tortured to confess their experiences with “witches” by being fake executed in ovens.
Women were held under water and if they could float, they were guilty and executed. If they sank and drowned they were innocent.
Women were thrown off cliffs.
Women were put in deep holes in the ground.
Why do I write this?
Because knowing our history is important when we are building a new world.
When we are doing the healing work of our lineages and as women.
To give the women who were slaughtered a voice, to give them redress and a chance of peace.
It was not witches who burned.
It was women.

Being at peace means that you no longer have the need to prove anything to anyone.
You don't need outside validation, you don't need to tell your side of the story anymore, even when you hear a dozen rumors that tell an untrue version.
You used to guard your heart, but now you guard your peace, because you know your peace is worth more than proving yourself to anyone ..

Ovulating with the new moon and bleeding with the full moon is called the Red Moon cycle, and it’s the cycle of the archetypal Wise Woman: the healer, the magic-maker, the wisdom keeper.

Historically, menstruating with the full moon indicated an energy that was considered suspect in our culture.

The Healer–the woman who knew how to wield healing power and magic–was also seen as a seductress and enchantress. This was the kind of woman whose sexuality was applied to something other than the formation of the next generation. To our patriarchal ancestors, this meant an ‘evil woman.’

In truth, the Red Moon cycle belonged to the medicine women, the midwives, the wisdom keepers of the community. These women were not focusing their feminine energies to give birth to children. Rather their energy was used to empower other women and their communities.

So if you bleed with the full moon, your energy is focused on self-actualization, and on using that self-actualization to empower other women.
