Nillyoga

Nillyoga Dynamic yoga practice for all levels, in English. Postures, breathing, meditation, relaxation, philosophy. Healthy body, clear mind, peaceful spirit.

An international yoga community. I remember the first time I attended a yoga practice. It was in my home town after years abroad. The teacher had a bald shiny head and bright teeth showing in a great smile. I was curious. After an hour and a half I felt like my heart was home again, back in its place. I didn't even know it wasn't in its place before...

At this moment I knew teaching yoga is what

I wanted to do, even though I had just graduated from communications studies. There was no question about it. I started practicing daily, and enrolled on a teacher training course to become a teacher of children. Only after graduation, as I started teaching kids, did I realise that I wanted to broaden my teaching and also teach adults. I then applied and was granted a scholarship for a Teacher Training course in Sivanada ashram in Kerla, India. This course greatly deepened my relationship with the world of yoga, and also opened my never-ending affair with mother India. On my return to Israel, my home land, I instantly went back to teaching, this time adults, mainly relying on the Sivanada tradition. After a short while I found my most influential teacher, whom I stayed with for another teacher training course of three years, this time of the Ashtanga tradition. And so, learning from different teachers who came from different traditions in varies places around the world, combined with my love of travelling and my love of teaching, I now, after 15 years of teaching, have my own way of touching, of making the world of yoga accessible to anyone who feels the desire in their heart. The learning never ends and you are a part of it! Come and join me :)

Commitment — A Journey Back to Yourself

When we speak of commitment in yoga, it can sometimes feel heavy — like a duty, or something owed to the teacher.
But real commitment is much gentler than that.
It’s not about committing to me.
It’s about committing to yourself. To your own journey.

Each time you come to the mat, you're making a quiet, powerful choice to return — to your breath, your body, your heart.
I’m here to hold space, to offer guidance, and to shine a light when things feel unclear.
But the path is yours. Only you can walk it.
And you don’t have to walk it perfectly. You just have to keep showing up.

Yoga isn’t about arriving anywhere. It’s about learning to stay present with yourself — with tenderness, with honesty, with courage.

So if you’re practicing with me — or thinking about it —
know that I’m not here to be placed above or followed.
I’m here to walk alongside you.
To gently remind you of what you already carry within.
To offer a space where you can come back to yourself,
again and again, with honesty, kindness, and care.

See you on the mat.
With love,
Nilly

My first visit to India was for a teacher's training course in Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. I didn't know what to expect. What I received, was given, awarded, rewarded was a life changing experience. And indeed, since then, the course of my life has changed beyond recognition.

The Art of Bowing: A Gesture of Gratitude, Connection & Presence

At the end of every class, I bow to you. I press my hands together, lower my head, and say Namaste—a small yet profound gesture. But what does it truly mean?

Bowing is one of the most universal human expressions of respect, humility, and connection. Across cultures and traditions, from Japan to India, from ancient warriors to spiritual seekers, bowing carries a deep message: I see you. I honor you. I am grateful for this moment we’ve shared.

In yoga, bowing is not about submission—it’s about acknowledging our shared journey. It’s a moment of presence, a pause to recognize:
✨ The teacher and the student in each of us
✨ The body and breath that carried us through practice
✨ The space we hold for ourselves and each other

When I bow at the end of class, it is my way of saying:
🙏 Thank you for showing up—for yourself and for this community
🙏 Thank you for trusting me to guide you
🙏 Thank you for sharing your energy, breath, and presence

And when you bow back, it is a reminder that we are not separate, but connected in this practice and beyond.

So next time, before you step off the mat, take a breath, bow gently—not just to me, but to yourself, to this moment, to the life that moves through you.

Namaste. 💛

I miss India every day.
India, where everyone and everything is a great teacher, where the heart and mind expand, where the story/drama/ego drop, where the soul rest.

Yoga in Sevilla – More Than Just a Class, It's a Home 🧘‍♀️✨

Sevilla is beautiful, but let’s be honest—moving to a new city can feel… ungrounded. You crave connection, a place where you’re seen, where your body remembers to breathe. That’s what I create in my yoga space.

This isn’t a “big class where no one knows your name” kind of experience. It’s personal, hands-on, deeply attuned to you. With 20 years of teaching experience, I bring a practice that meets you where you are—whether you're stretching for the first time or seeking to go deeper.

💜 Suitable for all ages—because yoga is for every body
💜 Small groups = real personal attention
💜 Hands-on teaching for alignment & depth
💜 Morning & evening classes in the city center
💜 A true community—you’ll feel it from day one
💜 Taught in English, because feeling at home in class matters
💜 Learn to listen to your body—respect its needs, prevent injury, and build awareness that stays with you beyond the mat

If you’re looking for yoga that’s more than just a workout—something soulful, grounding, and real—I’d love to welcome you. Send me a message or drop a commentr. 🌿✨

On Saturday, the 25th of January, I will hold a special Mysore Yoga practice in my studio. Mysore is the traditional self-practice approach to the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system. It derives its name from the city in India, Mysuru, in South India.
🪷
In a Mysore class, each practitioner moves independently, according to the timing of their own breath, through the sequence of postures of the series. I, the teacher, move through the room, giving assistance, instruction, and guidance as needed, on a one-on-one basis.
🪷
This workshop will be open for a maximum of 10 practitioners who are experienced in their practice. You won’t have to know the series by heart, as I will present each one of you with a printed version as well as projecting the image of the series on the wall.
🪷
Schedule:
9:45- get together
10:00- 12:15- self practice
12:15- 12:45- Yoga Nidra (guided deep relaxation)
12:45- 13:00- conclusion circle with a cup of home-made chai

Sometimes we can have a plan to start with something for years!
It's usually a decision we have already made, but it's on the back burner, as we wait for "the right timing".
~
It seems to us that time is scarce, that we just can't make it as well as everything else that we need to do. And so, this "thing" that we really want to do, because we know it's good for us, becomes a nag, a liability, another item on the never-ending "to-do" list that we feel guilty about never getting to.
~
We also know, that usually it’s a question of priorities and that in most cases we only need to take the first step. There's no point in setting ourselves non-realistic goal, those usually set us up for failure and frustration.
~
Taking the "one step at a time" approach, is the one I live by.
"Day by day"
"One foot in front of the other"
~
And in other words-
let's be kind to ourselves, both with the goals we set for ourselves- achievable, and also with finding compassion for ourselves when things are not happening exactly as we thought they should/would/could have.
~
If you wanna hear this and more of that kind of reminders on a regular basis on top of stretching your body, join me for practice in the studio.
We start next Tuesday (10th of September).
Msg me now to reserve your spot.
