🌹Full Moon Kundalini Ta**ra Practice🌹

This Thursday – 10th July · Online via Zoom – 7pm BST

There’s a certain magic that arrives when the moon is full. A kind of stillness in the sky, like the whole universe is holding its breath. This Thursday, under the glow of July’s full moon, we’ll gather for a special Kundalini Ta**ra practice, a sacred space to connect with the energies stirring in the cosmic universe and within ourselves.

This moon, known as the Buck Moon, brings with it themes of renewal and growth. In Western astrology, it lands in Capricorn — a grounded, earthy sign that speaks to our foundations, our structures, and the quiet determination needed to move steadily toward what we truly desire. It’s a moon that asks us to reflect honestly: Where are we being called to grow up? Where have we outgrown the containers we’ve built for ourselves? Where is it time to soften, to let go, to realign?

At the same time, in the Vedic tradition, this full moon illuminates the Nakshatra of Purva Ashadha — the “invincible star.” This is a lunar energy of deep inner victory, not through force, but through clarity, surrender, and alignment with our soul’s truth. It reminds us that true transformation doesn’t always come with fireworks — sometimes, it arrives in the quiet knowing that something deep within has shifted.

Our practice will include breathwork, movement, sound, and stillness — drawing on the traditional roots of Kundalini Ta**ra, where the body is seen as sacred, and the breath as a bridge between the physical and the energetic. We’ll begin by softening into the body, gently waking up dormant energy, and inviting the Kundalini to rise in a way that feels safe, embodied, and intuitive.

Throughout the practice, we’ll work with the energy of the moon itself, letting it illuminate what’s ready to be seen, what’s asking to be released, and what is quietly waiting to be reclaimed. We’ll hold space for whatever arises, emotion, stillness, clarity, expansion, knowing that everything is welcome, and nothing needs to be forced.

You don’t need to have practiced Kundalini before. You don’t need to come with answers. Just bring yourself, exactly as you are. A candle, a journal, a blanket, anything that helps you feel held. This is your space. A space to be witnessed by the moon. A space to move from within. A space to return to yourself.

I had a call with a new client recently who has been gaining weight for a few years. She is now really struggling trying to lose the weight and establish healthier lifestyle habits.

After talking for a while we started getting into her current lifestyle and what led her to this point.

What started off as a discussion about how she 'never has the time' eventually led to us realising that actually she does have the time, she just prioritises everybody else's health and happiness above her own.

She is a chronic people pleaser!

She goes out of her way to help others, she is the YES woman, she never says NO.

This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if it wasn't at her own expense, but by spending all of her time and energy on keeping everybody else happy, she has none left for herself.

This is why her own health and wellness has been getting worse and why she has been gaining weight.

So while we are working on creating healthier habits for her and establishing a new workout routine, we are also working on saying NO sometimes and having healthier boundaries with her loved ones. This way she can learn how to prioritise herself, look after her own health, and give herself the time she needs to lose weight and get healthy.

I'm sharing this story because I just KNOW that so many women out there can relate. This isn't a one off client story, this is one that I hear regularly.

Losing weight or getting healthy isn't always as simple as doing 3 workouts a week and eating less calories, figuring out your own self sabotaging behaviours, your obstacles, and your current unhealthy patterns is the key to really turning things around and making sure this new lifestyle you are creating actually lasts.

Working out doesn't have to be boring or feel like another item on your never ending To Do List.

In fact, making exercise fun and enjoyable is one of the best ways to stay consistent and see real progress.

If you don't feel like going to the gym today, or you are finding working out super boring, here are some ideas on how to make it feel good again 👇

🌴Go somewhere new and beautiful to do your workout.

Doing a yoga session or bodyweight session at the beach can feel so nourishing and is so much more fun than just doing them at home.

🐾Involve your pets.

Bring your dog for a hike. Run up and down the beach with them. Teach them how to do downward dog Asana beside you on your yoga mat. Jump around and dance with them.

🤸Relearn schoolyard skills.

Remember in primary school when we could all cartwheel, handstand, skip like pros, hula hoop and roller skate? Exercise didn't feel like a chore because we were playing, it was fun, and we were fearless. Relearning these skills can make us feel childlike and silly again, and can make exercise feel like a fun game.

🎵Listen to whatever you want.

You do not have to listen to calming spiritual music while you practice yoga, and you do not have to listen to upbeat motivating music while you run or exercise. In fact, a lot of the time while i'm working on my personal yoga practice, I look zen from the outside but I'm actually listening to rock or metal music in my earphones 😂 & often when I'm squatting or lifting heavy weights I am listening to a romantasy audiobook 😍

So yeah, do what you gotta do to make it more interesting on those days where it feels boring or like a challenge.

When I first started working out and going to the gym in my early teens, I was also suffering from heavy and painful periods that left me feeling exhausted.

Even though I loved going to the gym, working with a personal trainer was difficult for several reasons 👇

🩸First of all, the PTs in my gym were all guys, I was 15/16 and times were different back then. We didn't talk openly about our periods or women's troubles.

🩸PT sessions usually require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule or else you are charged for the session. This was problematic for me because if my period came on suddenly that day, I would not be feeling up to my usual workout, but I also didn't want to lose the money I had paid for the session.

🩸Leading up to my period I would sometimes feel moody, out of sorts, and fatigued. This basically means that for the week prior, and the week of my period, I was not at my best. That's a whole half of the month! Trying to be consistent week on week with a workout routine and progressive overload felt like hell.

🩸I would work hard all month in the gym and eating healthier, only for my weight to suddenly go up by a few pounds for no apparent reason. I now know it was due to hormones and my cycle but at the time I didn't know that, and I often worried that my PT thought I might be lying about eating according to my goals and being consistent.

🩸My joints would feel very sensitive at certain times of the month, making heavier strength and conditioning exercises feel scary because I was worried about causing an injury but also I didn't know why this was happening and I was too embarrassed to talk to my trainer about it.

Thankfully times have moved on now and we can talk more openly about our women's health struggles, but it can still feel like an uphill battle if you don't have a trainer or health coach who is educated on these issues and how to work with them.

🌹Self Care Yoga – 4 Week Online Journey🌹

This is a gentle invitation to come home to yourself.

Over 4 weeks, we’ll gather once a week on a Wednesday evening and take some time to slow down, move, breathe, and just be. Each session will be a nourishing self care yoga journey – the kind that lets you exhale a bit deeper, soften a little more, and reconnect with what you need.

We’ll explore practices to support your nervous system, to help you feel safe, grounded and held. There’ll be moments for stillness and quiet – space to hear yourself again – as well as breathwork to bring in balance, clarity, and calm. We’ll move in ways that feel loving and kind to the body, clearing the mind, softening tension, and reconnecting with that deeper sense of peace that’s already within you.

This isn’t about pushing or perfecting – it’s about creating space. Space to listen in, unwind, and care for yourself in a really intentional way.

We’ll meet online via Zoom at 7pm (UK time), and if you can’t make it live, don’t worry – every session will be recorded and sent to you afterwards so you can move through it in your own time.
