I used to think courage was something I either had or didn’t have.
That I was either showing up or holding back.
That I was a wimp or a warrior.
But somewhere along the way, somewhere in the middle of my 16,000-kilometer walk, I began to notice something else.
There’s something we don’t often recognize or talk about: There’s a liminal space between fear and courage.
In this space, emotions–doubt, hesitation, uncertainty, anger, hope, inspiration, determination, to name just a few–guide us forward…and inward.
They are as much a part of the path as fear and courage themselves.
What I’ve come to understand is this:
➡️ Courage isn’t a switch you turn on and off.
➡️ Like joy, it’s something you can cultivate.
➡️ There’s a process, a map, that helps you step into your heart of courage.
➡️ And when you move through that “in between” with awareness and intention, something shifts.
This is the work I’ve been exploring in my life, in my book The In Between, and now in the workshops I’m bringing to Barcelona this spring.
If you’re curious and in the city, join me…
✨ April 24 — The In Between: From Fear to Courage in Life & Leadership.
A LIDERA and Barcelona Women's Network event for women ready to redefine their leadership with intention
✨ May 20 — Journeying From Fear to Courage.
A reflective journaling workshop at Backstory Bookshop to examine the choices we make between fear and courage.
If you’re in a moment of growth, reinvention, or transformation, you may already be feeling this inward curve.
Wondering how navigating your fears and your brave choices may influence your path?
Come explore the edges. Walk the labyrinth into your heart of courage.
