Road crashes keep claiming lives but first aid can change the outcome.

Every day, 10 - 12 lives are lost and 16 more suffer injuries on Ethiopia’s roads.

According to Federal Police Commission record, 80% of victims are pedestrians.

The impact is not just personal—it’s national, affecting our health, economy, and future.

Yet many of these lives could be saved with simple, timely first aid.

At Blue Health Ethiopia, we believe first aid is not optional—it’s essential.

That’s why this summer, we’re training hundreds of high school students to become first responders in their communities.

From CPR and bleeding control to fractures and burns, our Summer First Aid Program equips youth with lifesaving skills that make a real difference.

✨ A roadside injury.

We’ve delivered an American Heart Association (AHA)-certified BLS training to graduating nursing students at Jimma University College of Medicine and Health, Nursing School.

Thank you to the university for recognizing the importance of this life-saving skill and facilitating the session.
