EPHA Signs MoU with Eka Kotebe

The Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eka Kotebe Hospital (EKH) on May 6, 2026, at Eka Kotebe Hospital in Addis Ababa.

The MoU aims to formalize collaboration between the two institutions in advancing public health research, strengthening professional and institutional capacity and promoting knowledge exchange to improve health outcomes in Ethiopia.

EPHA and EKH agree to collaborate in key areas that advance public health practice, research and capacity building. The partnership will focus on the joint design and implementation of public health research projects as well as the co-publication and wide dissemination of research findings to inform policy and practice.

Both parties will work together to organize trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences aimed at strengthening the skills and competencies of health professionals. In addition, EPHA and EKH will engage in joint advocacy and knowledge dissemination on priority public health issues, while facilitating the sharing of relevant resources and expertise.

This partnership marks an important step toward strengthening collaboration between public health stakeholders and advancing Ethiopia’s health sector through coordinated efforts.

የቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ሆስፒታል ሚሊኒየም ሕክምና ኮሌጅ በ7ኛው የምርምር ጉባዔው በተለያየ ዘርፍ የአውቅና ሽልማት ሰጥቷል፡፡ ኮሌጁ ምርጥ የሴት ተመራማሪ ብሎ የመረጣቸው ዶር እውነት ገብረሃና ናቸው፡፡ በጉባኤው የላቀ አስተዋጽአቸው እንደሚከተለው ቀርቧል፡፡

ዶር እውነት በሀገራችን የማህበረሰቡን መሰረታዊ የጤና አገልግሎት በተለይም በስነ፟ ተዋልዶ የጤና በመሠረታዊነት ያሻሻሉ ምሁር ናቸው፡፡ በ2014 ዓ.ም. ከጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ በህዝብ ጤና ዶክትሬት (PhD) ዲግሪ ያገኙ ሲሆን በ2005 ዓ.ም. ከአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በህዝብ ጤና ማስተርስ (MPH) ተቀብለዋል፡፡ በ2002 ዓ.ም. ከደቡብ ዩኒቨርሲቲ፣ ዲላ የመምህራን ትምህርትና የጤና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ በህዝብ ጤና የመጀመሪያ ዲግሪ (BSc) አግኝተዋል።

ሥራ የጀመሩት በደቡብ ክልል በምዕራብ አባያ ጤና ጣቢያ ኃላፊ ሆነው በመስራት ነበር፡፡በኃላም በአዲስ ኮንቲኔንታል የህዝብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት ውስጥ በተለያዩ የስራ ደረጃዎች ላይ በመስራት አገልግልዋል፡፡ በተጨማሪም፣ በኢትዮጵያ የህዝብ ጤና ማህበር ውስጥ በፕሮጀክት እና በፕሮግራም አስተባባሪ ሆነው ሲሰሩ የስነ-ተዋልዶ ጤና እና የቤተሰብ እቅድ አገልግሎቶችን ለማሻሻል ከፍተኛ ሚና ተጫውተዋል። በ2016 ዓ.ም. ከዓለም ጤና ድርጅት (WHO) ጋር ለጤና ሚኒስቴር እና ለኢትዮጵያ የሕዝብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት በየጊዜው የሚከሰቱ የጤና አደጋዎች መረጃ በመሰብስብ ፣ ትንተና እና ሪፖርት ላይ ቴክኒካዊ ድጋፍ ሰጥተዋል።
በአዲስ ኮንቲኔንታል የጤና አጠባበቅ ኢኒስቲዩትም በመስራት ሙያቸውን አዳብረዋል፡፡ እ.ኤ.አ ከ2017 ዓ.ም. ቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ሚሊኒየም የሕክምና ኮሌጅን ተቀላቅለዋል፡፡ በአሁኑ ሰዓት ተባባሪ ፕሮፌሰር ሆነው በሙያቸው በማገልገል ላይ ይገኛሉ፡፡በሙያቸው ከ20 በላይ የሚሆኑ የምርምር ስራችውን በሀገር አቀፍ እና በአለም አቀፍ ሳይንሳዊ መጽሄቶች ታትሞላቸዋል፡፡
በቤተሰብ እቅድ፣በእናቶች እና በስነተዋልዶ ጤና የተለያዩ የምርምር ሰራዎችን ከመስራት አልፎ በተግባር የሚተግብሩ የፕሮጀክት ስራዎችንም ሰርተዋል፡፡ በዓለም አቀፍ ውድድር ያላቸውን፣ የፋይናንስ ምንጮች በማፈላለግ ዓለም አቀፍ ሀብቶችን ወደ ሀገራችን በማምጣት የማህብረሰቡን ችግሮች በመፍታት ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽዎ አድርገዋል፡፡
የደብረ ብርሃን የስነ-ሕዝብ እና ምርመር ጣቢያ (HDSS) ከመመስረትና መምራት ጀምሮ እስከ የክሊኒካል ትራያል ክፍል በማቋቋም ለሀገራዊ እና አለማቀፋዊ የምርምር ስራዎች ላይ ጉልህ አስተዋጽኦ አድርገዋል፡፡በርካታ እና የሶስተኛ ዲግሪ እና የማስተርስ ተማሪዎችን የምርምር ስራዎቻቸው አማክረዋል፡፡
በምርምር መካከል የሚደረጉ ትብብሮችን ወደ ተቋም በማስረጽ በተቋማቸን የምርምር ስራ ከፍ ያለ ደረጃ እንዲደርስ አስተዋጽኦ አድርገዋል፡።
ይህን የጎላ ስራቸውን በመገንዘብ የቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ሆስፒታል ሚሊኒየም ሕክምና ኮሌጅ በ7ኛው የምርምር ጉባዔው ዶ/ር እውነት ገብረሃናን የዓመቱ ምርጥ ተመራማሪ አድርጎ መርጧቸዋል፡፡ ዶር አውነት በአሁኑ ወቅት የምርምርና ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት ኮርፖሬት ዳይሬክተር ናቸው፡፡

በጤና አክርሞ በቁመና ላገናኘን እግዚአብሔር ምስጋና ይግባውና ፕሬዚደንት አጎናፍር የመዝጊያ ንግግር እንዳደርግ ስለጠየቁኝ ክብር ተሰምቶኛል።

እንደ እርጅናዬና አብዛኛውን ጊዜ በጨለምተኝነት ሳይሆን የበለጠ የደንብ፣ የጥራትና የዕድገት ዕድሎች በመሻት ለማኅበራችን በብርጭቆው በግማሽ ሙሉነት ሳይሆን በግማሽ ጉድለቶች ሳተኩር ዓመታት አሳልፌያለሁና በበጎ ላያችሁኝ ምስጋና እያቀረብሁ ሌሎቻችሁ እህቶቼንና ወንድሞቼን ይቅርታ እለምናለሁ!!

37ኛው ጉባኤያችን እንደተለመደው የመማማር ዕድል ስለሠጠን አደራጆችንና አመራሮችን እንዳመሰግን ይፈቀድልኝ። ስለ ፖነሎች ጠቃሚነትና ስለ ፓነሊስቶች የነበረኝን አድናቆትና የተሰማኝን እርካታ ቀደም ሲል ገልጫለሁ።

ሳይንሳዊ ጥናቶች ወደ ጆርናላችንና መጽሔታችን ተላልፈው የሚጠቀም ቢጠቀምባቸው እላለሁ።

የወደፊቱን የማኅበራችን መንገድ ለመጠቆም ያህል:-

1. ዶክተር ፍቅረአብ ባሳሰቡን መሠረት ማኅበሩ የዲጂታል ጉዳዮች አጥኝና መካሪ ኮሚቴ እንዲቋቋምና ተከታታይ ምክረ ሃሳቦች በቦርዱ በኩል እያቀረበ ቢያዘምነንና ከዲጂታል መሐይምነት ቢከላከለን ይጠቅመናል እላለሁ።

2. የማኅበራችን መተዳደሪያ ደንብ በቅንነትና በሙያዊነት ሳይቋረጥ የሚታደስበት ስርዓት ቢኖር መልካም ይመስለኛል። ምንም እንኳ የአፈጻጸም ቅልጥፍና ቢያጓጓም አቋራጭና የጠቅላላ ጉባኤ ውሳኔ ያላረፈባቸው እርምጃዎች መላመድ አይገባም፤ በእኔ እይታ የትናንትና አይነት የምርጫ ሂደቶች እንዳይከስቱ መጠንቀቅ ይገባናል።

3. ዓመታዊ የማህበሩ ሥራ አፈጻጸም ዘገባዎች (ሪፖርቶች) የበለጠ ዙሪያ - መለስ (comprehensive) እንዲሆኑ እመክራለሁ።

4. የማኅበራችን ሥራ አስፈጻሚ አባላት በቂ ጊዜ ለማህበሩ ዋና ዋና ጉዳዮች፣ አመራርና ሙያዊ ትግበራዎች መሥጠታቸውን ለራሳቸው ሕሊናዊ ማረጋገጫ እንዲሰጡ ይመከራል። የቄሳርን ለቄሳር በሚባለው መሰረት ጽ/ቤቱ የቦርድን ሥራ ለቦርድ በትዕግሥትና በትህትና እያሳለፈ ቢያስወስን እመክራለሁ።

5. የሙያችን መርሆዎችና የማህበሩ አባላትን ክብርና ተገቢ legitimate ሁለ-ገብ ደህንነት የመጠበቅና የማስጠበቅ ሞራላዊ ኃላፊነት ኢ.ጤ.አ.ማ እንዳለበት መርሳት አይገባም እላለሁ።

6 የጠቅላላ ጉባኤ እባላት ቁጥር መጨመር እንደሚገባ እመክራለሁ።

ከብዙ በጥቂቱና በአጭር ዝግጅት የምለው ይኸው ነውና በጎደለ እግዚአብሔር ይሙላበት።

ለሁላችንም ጤናማ ሕይወት፣ ለውዲቱም ኢትዮጵያችን ሰላምና ቀጣይ ልማትና ዕድገት እመኛለሁ!!
