Tramadol is a Narcotic Drug for Ethiopia

Tramadol Hydrochloride

Tramadol HCl is a prescription Opioid Pain killer for moderate pain. It’s often used for pain after surgery or for chronic pain from conditions like fibromyalgia. Tramadol should never be taken in combination with other Opioids.

Using Tramadol HCI without a prescription or taking it in higher doses, more often, or for longer than prescribed are all considered abuse of this drug. Various evidence from various countries including Ethiopia indicated Tramadol produces mental and physical addiction. As per Proclamation No1112/2019 narcotic drug means a medicine subject to control in accordance with the convention issued by United Nations and ratified by Ethiopia and includes a drug that is categorized as narcotic drug by the executive organ; hence the Tramadol HCI is categorized as Narcotic drugs.

Therefore, Tramadol shall be used properly and under the supervision of a doctor and appropriate medical practitioners.

ትራማዶል ህመምን ለማስታገስ የምንጠቀምበት የኦፖይድ ዝርያ ነው፡፡ ብዙ ጊዜ ትራማዶልን የምንጠቀምበት ከቀዶ ሕክምና በኋላ ወይም ለረጅም ጊዜ ህመም ለማስታገስ ሲሆን ትራማዶል ከሌሎች ኦፖይድ ጋር በፍጹም መወሰድ የለበትም፡፡

ትራማዶልን ከጤና ባለሙያ ትዕዛዝ ያለ ማዘዣ መውሰድ ወይም ከታዘዘ ጥንካሬ እና መጠን ብዙ ጊዜ መውሰድ ወይም ከተዘዘለን ጊዜ ገደብ ውጭ ለረጅም ጊዜ መውሰድ ለሱስኝነት ያጋልጣል፡፡ የተለያዩ ጥናቶች ኢትዮጵያን ጨምሮ በተለያዩ አገራት ትራማዶል አዕምሯዊ እና አከላዊ ሱስ እንደሚያስይዝ ያሳያሉ፡፡ ስለዚህ በኢትዮጵያ የምግብ እና መድኃኒት አዋጅ ቁ.1112/2011 ናርኮቲክ መድኃኒት” ማለት በተባበሩት መንግሥታት በወጣው እና ኢትዮጵያ ባፀደቀችው የናርኮቲክ መድኃኒቶች ስምምነት መሠረት ቁጥጥር የሚደረግበት መድኃኒት ሆኖ በአስፈጻሚ አካሉ እንደ ናርኮቲክ መድኃኒትነት የተመደበ መድኃኒትን ማጠቃለሉን የሚገልፅ በመሆኑ ትራማዶል በናርኮቲክ መድኃኒትነት ተመድቧል፡፡

ስለዚህ ትራማዶል በአግባቡ ሀላፊነት በተሰጠው የጤና በለሙያ ብቻ በልዩ የናርኮቲክ መድኃኒቶች ማዘዣ ወረቀት መታዝዝ እና እደላ መደረግ ይኖረበታል፡፡
