Serenity Mental Health Services is a mental health consultancy and research firm established in 2022 with a mission to provide innovative and culturally adapted mental health interventions to underserved communities across Ethiopia. Our team of highly qualified professionals from multiple disciplines have extensive experience in providing technical support in matters of mental health to a number of Ethiopian and international organizations.
We specialize in designing, piloting and delivering mental health interventions, preparing and culturally adapting training materials, and providing high fidelity training and evaluation for trainees across a range of levels of specializations. Our areas of focus include traumatic stress, mental health aspects of SGBV, burnout and stress, and vulnerable population mental health. We are also interested in areas that intersect with mental health, such as economics and development, resilience, and a strength-based approach, as well as community-based initiatives that promote mental health and well-being.
We are committed to exploring innovative solutions to mental health challenges, such as technology-based interventions and evidence-based practices, to reach underserved communities across Ethiopia. Our goal is to provide effective and culturally adapted mental health interventions to improve the lives of those in need and empower them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. We are dedicated to finding new and creative ways to reach those in need and provide them with the resources and support they need to thrive.
In terms of individual mental health services, Serenity provides a comprehensive range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). We have extensive experience in working with a diverse group of clients, including survivors of sexual abuse and gender-based violence, torture, human trafficking, and refugees, as well as those affected by conflict, such as civilians, combatants, and displaced people. Our diagnostic consultation, psychotherapy and tele-consultation and tele-psychotherapy services are designed to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
