Ethiopian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology Signs Memorandum of Understanding with College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia.
This MoU marks an important step forward in their efforts to improve orthopedic healthcare services in Ethiopia. Such efforts will continue to address all institutions across the country where Residency Programs are running and O & T practice is undergoing among our members.
This agreement formalizes the ongoing partnership between CMHS and ESOT, strengthening their shared commitment to advancing orthopedic and trauma care in Ethiopia. Key areas of collaboration include:
Educational Programs: CMHS and ESOT will work together to develop and deliver educational programs such as workshops, conferences, and continuing medical education courses, as well as fellowship opportunities in orthopedics and traumatology.
Collaborations: Both institutions will support and encourage research initiatives involving faculty, students, and members, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing in orthopedic and trauma care.
Training: CMHS and ESOT will offer enhanced clinical training opportunities for BDU medical students, residents, and fellows specializing in orthopedics and traumatology.
Outreach: The collaboration will extend to outreach programs aimed at improving community health and raising awareness about injury prevention and the risks associated with traditional bone setting practices.
