A few days ago, we finished our two-month Ango in Selkola, that included also two multi-day sesshins.
Ango is a period of more intensive practice, that requires the participants decisive and patient inner work.
Even if Ango requires effort, it is not to be entered with some ambitious goal in mind.
Rather, during ango we ground in correct zazen so that it can function naturally in our daily life. This leads to removal of any unnecessary imagination that separates us from the very presence of our everyday life.
The constant effort of receiving life as it is, not as we would have it, eventually leads to giving up our egocentric positioning. It roots us to a reality where 'the universe and I have one root, ten thousand things and I are one body'.
And why would anyone undergo this kind of training?
To stop chasing expectations that, in the end, will not bring us the satisfaction. And to, for the first time, start living our life freely, from our heart.
Thank you to all the participants, thank you to all beings 🙏🏼
And our great gratitude to the wonderful hosts of Selkolan Kartano ❤️
