Dear all my colleagues
It seems the Corona-virus is now spreading Finland also, and the situation is getting worsen and worsen, few of our colleagues asked me about points and methods for preventing virus infection recently.
First of all, as professional acupuncture practitioners, we should always remember: there has never ever specific points for specific disease, there has no so-called secret points for certain disease. We should always keep it in mind, in clinic, the golden order for treating disease is Theory/principle-Method-Meridian-Points-Skills.(it takes time to explain deeply and clearly, perhaps, I may hold a workshop later on for such topic)
So, I would like to share the practical protocol below
1. Give whole-back sliding fire-cupping, mainly focus on the Govern vessel, and the first and second line of the Bladder meridian. Surely, Tuina massage is as well effective, pushing method along those three lines.(Pic 1).
if you want to give yourself care, it is better to take a towel, using your two hands, one up-backwards, one down-backwards, puling the towel like a saw on the back. (Pic 2), after that standing up, put 2 hands naturally backwards on the lower back, up and down taping or pushing local meridians, if possible, it is better with toe jumping meanwhile(Pic 3)
About 25-30 minutes, since the Yang-energy is activated, the whole body is becoming warm and even slightly sweating.
Take a 5 minutes break, and drink some water, tea, or fresh juice
2. tapping or rubbing 3 hand Yang meridian, both side, from neck-shoulder-elbow-wrist to fingers, and then 3 hand Yin meridians, both side, from chest-armpit-elbow-wrist-palm to fingers
3. Taping or rubbing 3 foot Yang meridians, both side, from hip-joint or lower back-knee-ankle-toes, and then 3 foot Yin meridians, both side, from chest-stomach-lower abdome-inner thigh-knee-calf inside-ankle-big toe
4. Tap the Concept vessel, from chest to lower abdomen
5. Along meridians, tapping head or using fingers to comb head
5. Rubbing face and ears
Totally, it takes about 45-60 minutes. Recommend time in the morning 30 minutes after breakfast or in the evening after meal, but not later than 9pm, or any daytime.
By the way, it is an idea way for keeping health and happy, but need to insist daily practice.
I have written the method in Chinese about one and half months ago and has been widely used in many families, the feedback is excellent.
