ReMinded has received approval to initiate our Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) study for our saliva-based cortisol detection test! 🎉

This marks a major milestone in our clinical validation journey toward FDA clearance (anticipated in Q4 2025) and brings us one step closer to transforming how mental health conditions are measured and managed.

Our team is deeply committed to advancing accessible, non-invasive solutions, and this IDE approval validates both the strength of our science and the urgency of our mission.

We’ve been slightly quiet on here, but that doesn’t mean things have been on hold—quite the contrary! 🚀✨ Here’s a summary of the past months’ activities for our team:

1️⃣ Website Redesign: Our website just got a fresh new look! 💻✨ Check out our redesigned site where our device gets showcased for the first time, designed by our CTO, Adil Shah.

2️⃣ TEDxCSTU Speaker: In the middle of a longer-term move to San Francisco, our CEO, Annika, got selected to give a TED Talk at the TEDxCSTU Event on July 28th in Milpitas, CA! 🎤 From sharing our journey to inspiring others, this is a dream come true.

3️⃣Grant Award: We’re excited to have received a grant from Vanderbilt University and NSF! 🌟 A huge shoutout to our COO, Emilia Vartiainen, for her dedication and hard work during the innovation program which took place now in June.

One month into our U.S. incorporation, and we are continuing our work at full speed. With an acceptance into Biolabs@NYULangone, our Chief Scientific Officer Sanjida Yeasmin, PhD has commenced a three-month sprint for biosensor development in New York.👩🏽‍🔬 By the end of summer, we will be ready for device integrations and clinical data collection of our device, detecting biomarkers related to mental health issues.

”What do you hope to achieve by the end of this three-month development period?”
-By the end of summer, we aim to develop a sensitive and selective saliva-based biomarker test kit that can be used to monitor mental health and well-being. My work consists of three main goals/objectives:

1. Translating our developed biosensor technology for saliva samples and investigating the background interference of different saliva samples.
2. Creating assay protocols and sample preparation protocols for saliva-based test kits.
3. Prototyping a multiplexed sensor platform and validating multiplexed detection with saliva samples. -Sanjida

ReMinded’s 48h-trip to Nashville back in April is now planting some seeds by our team forming a collaboration with Vanderbilt University through the Sullivan Family Ideator Program at the Wond’ry this June.

The short-form program will assist our research-based startup in evaluating and developing our innovation through evidence-based methods, in order to assess the market and refine our approach to effectively meet the needs of mental healthcare institutions and other potential customers. After June, we’ll gain eligibility to aim for the longer-form U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF)’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) Program— supported by a $50,000 grant.

ReMinded has had an exciting start to the week with our CTO, Adil Shah, showcasing our venture and pitching at the conference in Munich. We were honorably selected as one of the 20 finalists being evaluated by an expert panel of 11 jury members from various industry sectors.💪🏼

Interacting with industry leaders, similar hardware startups, and establishing potential partnerships will ease our way into manufacturing and production as we progress through the upcoming spring months. This exposure to the European scene strengthens our positioning and strategy moving forward, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation in the MedTech field.🩺
