The New Global is an action research and innovation project led by a multidisciplinary research team from Aalto University in Finland. The project aims to study and develop frugal and reverse innovations globally through action research, experimentation, co-creation, and rapid prototyping in the field. The project research sites during 2014 were located in Mexico, Tanzania and India. In 2016 the focus is on India and Tanzania. Theoretical backgrounds from managerial perspective are linked to themes such as:

- Wellbeing and capabilities

Common nominator from research perspective is the idea that we collect empiria via multidisciplinary action research. Thereby the research aims to not only create new academic knowledge but also to contribute to practice. The project engages multiple stakeholders in the co-creation and aims to build up long-term collaboration.
