Our Jollas retreat was a full day of grounding, creativity, and connection — a beautiful collaboration between Nicola ( / Purna Yoga Helsinki), Laurum Vuorinen (.vuorinen), and Ekoateljee ().

The first months after birth — often called the fourth trimester — are a time of transition, bonding, and gentle recovery. Postnatal yoga offers a safe and supportive way to reconnect with your body, restore strength, and share quiet time with your baby.

In this course you will:
✨ Practice recovery stretches and gentle movements
✨ Strengthen pelvic floor and realign the spine
✨ Open shoulders and release tension
✨ Rest, breathe deeply, and regain balance

All equipment is provided (mats, props, warm oil). Please bring a small blanket for your baby. 🍼

👶 Babies are welcome from 6 weeks old until 9 months (or until they start moving around).

This is not only about exercise — it’s about care, connection, and giving yourself the space you need in early motherhood. 💛

Our story

Purna Yoga Helsinki opened its doors under Tove Palmgren. Tove had brought Ashtanga yoga to Finland in the 90’s and brought Purna Yoga in 2010.

In 2011 Nicola came to the studio for the first time and fell in love with it immediately. Her studies with yoga were focused on Hatha and pre-and postnatal yoga so she started teaching prenatal yoga classes at Tove’s place. Curious about this new system she took their 200- hour Purna Yoga teacher training in 2012.

In 2015 the studio was lucky to gain two new teachers with Eva and Gabriel and soon the three with Nicola became 500- hour Purna Yoga trainees under the masters guidance of Aadil Palkhivala and the Purna Yoga College Finland.

Big changes happened in 2017 when Nicola took over the studio and found another one of her passions. Helping more and more people to find joy in their lives and running a small business. Purna Yoga Helsinki is and always was a joyful community of likeminded people who have a bigger aim in their life.
