🧠 What is the EFPP working on – and where is it heading?
The EFPP Board is dedicated to advancing psychoanalytic psychotherapy across Europe by:
🔹 Tracking clinical developments in each member country
🔹 Supporting training and research
🔹 Organizing high-quality conferences and workshops
📅 Over the years, EFPP has hosted section-specific conferences (e.g. Lisbon 2004, Dresden 2005, Berlin 2006, Copenhagen 2007, Prague 2008, Florence 2009, Cracow 2011, Athenes 2012, Berlin 2015, Belgrade 2018, Warsaw 2024) and interactive events with discussion groups and workshops on topics like infant observation or clinical presentations (e.g. the Syros Workshop).
🌿In recent years, the EFPP has successfully introduced four-section conferences, bringing together practitioners from all areas: adult, child & adolescent, group, and couple & family therapy. These events proved to be fruitful and widely welcomed, so the EFPP has now committed to continuing in this direction.
