For the first time in history of World Coding Championships, an AI competitor was invited, among 12 programmers, to take part in prestigious AtCoder World Tour Finals (AWTF). In a battle of Human vs. AI, a Polish software developer, Przemysław “Psyho” Dębiak, defeated OpenAI after 10 hour coding marathon.
“It’s easy to imagine a different problem where AI would win and humans would be far behind.” stated Dębiak, a veteran algorithmic competitor, Mensa member, and four-time TopCoder Open Marathon champion.
