Bittium has entered into a Basic Ordering Agreement with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) designating Bittium as a preferred supplier for the NCIA and NATO member countries. We were honored to welcome the President Alexander Stubb to our headquarters to see how Oulu’s technological expertise is demonstrated in practice and its significance for security of supply, secure communications, and people’s health. During the visit, the President was presented with our high-technology products and solutions, which all speak of the same thing: strong domestic expertise, close collaboration with ecosystem, and continuous innovation. Special focus was placed on promoting Bittium’s exports and accelerating international growth, which are important themes in the development of entire Finland’s economy.

Bittium has today received a purchase order from the Spanish Indra Group for technology and production transfer projects related to the transfer of Bittium Tough SDR technology, and for technology related customer specific development work. The value of the purchase order is EUR 20 million.

Bittium has signed an agreement with Spanish Indra Group for licensing of Bittium Tough SDR technology to Indra, and received a first purchase order of EUR 50 million according to the agreement.

By licensing Bittium’s Tough SDR technology, Indra will develop and manufacture sovereign, high-performance handheld, vehicular, and manpack radios, with the main focus on Spain and potentially extensible to other countries.
