People often think these experiences look somehow perfect, like everything just magically falls into place the moment you arrive.
But honestly… it usually doesn’t start that way at all.
You get here a bit tired from traveling, maybe a little unsure about what you signed up for, and then someone hands you a helmet and introduces you to a horse that feels way bigger than you expected. It’s cold, and for a moment you’re just thinking… what am I doing here?
And then, without really noticing it, something starts to shift.
The horse takes a few calm steps forward, you stop overthinking every little thing, and the forest around you gets quiet in a way that you don’t really experience anywhere else. No noise, no rush, no one asking anything from you.
At some point you realise you haven’t checked your phone in a while. You’re not thinking about your to-do list, or work, or anything waiting for you back home. You’re just there, moving slowly through the landscape, following the rhythm of the horse.
And that’s usually the moment when people say afterwards:
“this was the best part of my whole trip.”
Not because it was perfect.
But because it felt real.
If you’ve ever been curious about what that kind of experience feels like, you can always just send me a message 🐴
