Abo KDS Abo KDS is a karate club in Turku, Finland. Abo KDS is a karate club at the Students Union of Åbo Akademi University, officially founded in 2003.

Practice times for 2025 winter:
19.00-20.30 Cygnaeus Skola (via Abo Arbis)
Thu 18.30-20.00 & Sun 17:30-19:00 Mikael/Snellmanskola, Koulukatu 8 We are also part of the umbrella organization Finland KDS. Our head instructor is Mikael Kurula. We teach and practise karate as taught by Sensei Mitsusuke Harada, and our sessions can be characterised as honest interest and dedicated work in a good relaxed atmosphere. Alongside our regular sessions, our members also get the chance to participate in weekend courses with other KDS clubs - both national and international. This is crucial to increase our collected level of knowledge in KDS Karate. We are happy to welcome everyone with an interest in karate to our club! Practice times for academic year 2024-25:

Finland KDS and Abo KDS successfully organized an all-grades course in Turku 7-9 February.

🥋 30 participants trained under the excellent guidance of Yannick Jestin and Giles Murray.
😊 Happy faces and sore (leg) muscles were proof of the hard work and great spirit throughout the event! 💪

Just nu deltar flera medlemmar från vår förening på Summer School i Canterbury, England.

Detta är ett årligen återkommande, internationellt läger med utmanande träning med 3 pass/dag under en veckas tid under ledning av mycket erfarna instruktörer. Varvat med social samvaro, god mat och fin gemenskap.

I år deltar 110 kampsportare 🥋
