Dear Family and Friends
My husband Nilesh Kumar and I live in Tavarau, Ba with our two daughters 16 years and 12 years old and a 4 year old son.
Nilesh has had heart pain since mid-January. Because of his ill health, unfortunately this means that he has been unable to work as the Import Export Manager for Danam Fiji Ltd.
Nilesh is the sole breadwinner of our family.
On 23 February, Nilesh had an angiogram at the Oceania Hospital in suva.
His results state that one of his arteries is fully blocked and surgery has been recommended.
We have looked at our options and the best treatment is bypass surgery in India.
The estimated cost for this surgery is FJ$30000. we will be flying to India the first week of April. Nilesh will also be off work for 4-6 months
We have been actively fundraising with bhajans, qawwali, bazaars and when we get
clear weather, we also sell food such as BBQ. pulao and much more. We have collected some tunds but not as much as we would have liked.
