Intelligence, humility, compassion for others and a desire to soak up knowledge are a fail proof combination to making great doctors. Dr Nausheen Ali is the newest doctor at The Kidney Hub and she has all these traits. An aspiring Nephrologist, Dr Nausheen has commenced a Post Graduate Diploma in Renal Medicine via the University of South Wales, UK. It'll take at least 6 more years before she can become a specialist, but we are with her all the way. We hope you will cheer her along too!

Our "trial" run last week had no technical difficulties - for a change! This web based platform requires no app download and can be set up within seconds. Dr Amrish was registered as a specialist in Fiji in 2015, and has since cared for hundreds of Fijians, and Pacific Islanders, with advanced kidney disease. He believes all people in the Pacific deserve access to better kidney health, and affordable dialysis. He is currently undergoing advanced training in Australia in the area of Interventional Nephrology, which includes angioplasty to poorly functioning arteriovenous fistulas for more effective hemodialysis. Kidney health is not all about dialysis. In fact early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), early intervention, and attending to patients' other general medical needs, significantly change patients' outcome and quality of life.

We are looking for a General Practitioner to join our practice in Suva from next month (October). The position is ideal for an early career doctor with few years of hospital based practice experience as a GP, Emergency or Medical Registrar. The GP's main task will be to run an appointment based clinic, and discuss patients' care with the Nephrologist. There is an attractive remuneration package, which includes a scholarship to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma after two years of employment.

We have set work load targets perfectly to allow a healthy work-life balance.
