Awareness and Screening at Daku Village, Tailevu💯👋🔥

Daku Village is one of the cleanest villages, strengthened by the dedicated investment of Iri ni Viti and coconut milk production. I met villagers who are truly proud of their home and their heritage. We were given the chance to experience what many of us have lost — and it is a privilege to reconnect with village life, rediscover our roots, and appreciate the traditions that keep our identity alive.

Speaking with the Turaga ni Koro, Uraia Vuetibau, he shared passionately about their community, their aspirations, and the values that guide them. He spoke highly of the traditions they continue to uphold, ensuring they remain strong for future generations.

We also came to see the footsteps of Dr. Manasa😊🤣 enjoying the Coconut drinks and also enjoying the hospitality of Dr Mairinis mum.

Today at Verata Village, we met with the amazing women of the community, visited those who are bedridden, and delivered screening and awareness services right to their doorsteps.
Together, we keep moving forward—no matter the challenges. 💛🌿

It was an honour to participate in the FNU Narere Prostate Cancer Awareness Program today.

This initiative underscores the critical importance of disseminating accurate and timely information to our communities. Raising awareness ensures that individuals understand that early testing and early detection save lives.

As service providers, it is our responsibility to offer effective solutions and to continually reinforce the message that proactive health screening is essential.

Our greatest investment lies in the wellbeing and future of our children.

The program concluded with several staff members shaving their beards as a symbolic gesture of their commitment to Movember and the ongoing fight against prostate cancer.
